I've had a wonderful experience here with both of my children, one of whom is special needs. They always have time for a sick child and will see you or answer your call any time or day, or night for that matter. Sometimes appointments seem rushed, but my children have always received excellent care. The office staff is friendly and helpful and the doctors are knowledgeable and will work with you.

I'm also not sure about the negative review of Dr. Rich. He, and the other providers, are always kind and attentive.

I have NO idea why there are poor reviews! The front office staff is super sweet and helpful and all of the doctors we've seen have been very thorough and kind. They really take their time with your child are open to questions and go above and beyond any other practice I've been to.

I don't usually write reviews but my recent experience has led me to it. Put simply, you can do better. The staff is well described below, rude unhelpful. The Doctors (at least those we have seen) do not want questions, don't really seem as if they care what parents have to say, and God forbid you even sound as if you are questioning their judgement. We have moved on, and are happy with our current Pediatrician. I suggest that when you get the kind of treatment we received, you do the same.

Their doctors are great. Their scheduling process is obscene. And the Office Manager is of no help. If you want to schedule an appointment for your child, forget it! You have to call back EVERYDAY to see if they can fit you into a "sick child appointment". Only to be told that the schedule is full for the day because there are currently a lot of sick children. I just want to schedule an appointment for my child to be seen by our doctor. What doctor's office doesn't let you schedule an appointment? Its ridiculous and has been a HUGE problem for years. They need to find a new scheduling solution. I'm so frustrated I'm ready to walk away from an excellent doctor. I'm giving the business a 1 star rating because of how poorly they manage their schedule and run their office which impacts the ability to access care. However, the doctors are excellent.

I'm very surprised by the recent review of Dover Pediatrics and Dr. Rich in particular. My 11 year old and 2 year old have both seen him and he's our absolute favorite! He's always been quite respectful and doesn't talk down to us at all; I've found him to be quite warm and enthusiastic, actually. The only negative thing I have to comment on is their phone system. Or their lack of one. I almost always get busy signals. Today it took a long time to get through and it was frustrating. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say!

I have never written a review about a place; however, my experience today has warranted me to do so. This by far has to be the worst pediatrician I have ever been to. If you don't agree with the way they do things 100% then they will be extremely rude to you and slam the door on the patient room, at least that is what Dr Rich did. Stay away from this place unless you want to feel like an aweful parent because you are doing something slightly deviated from what they believe.

Years of great experiences!

I am also very surprised by the negative reviews. We have been going to Dover Pediatrics for over 16 years with four children and I don't have anything negative to say. Our oldest daughter had meningitis last August and the doctors and nurses were amazing! We ended up taking her to Children's Hospital for a second opinion because her symptoms lasted for so long and they were very impressed with how thorough Dover Pediatrics had been. Sometimes the phone is busy, which I understand can be frustrating, but they have a very busy office. I could easily go on with more stories of great experiences, but hopefully I've made my point. I rarely write reviews for anything, but it made me very sad to see such bad reviews of such a wonderful place that I felt like I had to speak up.

I'm very surprised by the negative reviews. In my experience, Dover Peds has been amazing. If I ever have a question for a nurse, I get a phonecall back within a half hour. They will see sick children on Saturdays and Sundays. I don't know many other pediatricians who will do that. They've always been very attentive and informative. I'm very picky about who we see for doctors/dentists/etc., and I have had nothing but great experiences with Dover Peds.

Horrible! First indication of ...

Horrible! First indication of how well this practice is when you call. It is ALWAYS busy! it is near impossible to get through on the phone. I called and asked for a sick child appointment for my 8 month old and was told to call back the next day starting at 8 am when they open and keep trying and maybe they could fit me in!!??? If anyone knows babies and kids, part of the issue is that when they are sick they look fine and then can "crash" WTF!!! I ended up going to the ER for a basic issue because they are too busy to see their patients! They actually told me it was ok to give my 3 month old Cheese cubes and eggs! Cheese cubes??? She didn't have teeth! Any medical lit says to wait till your kid is 1 year before eggs! I asked for help and advice for BF and it was a 3 second discussion. I never see the same docter twice. Heart problems run in my family and all my other children had ultrasounds but they didn't even send me for a consult and barely had two words about it! I ended up calling the specialist myself! I also have good insurance and pay all my co-pays on time. They have too many patients and not enough doctors! already switched my child to a new dr.

People are crazy

I have been going to DP for 13 years and the previous reviews couldn't be farther from the truth. My babies got the best care and I got great advice. Also the front office staff couldn't be more friendly. I think the moms who wrote the previous reviews must need a mommy and me group to hang out with. It's those kind of people who back up the calendar.
