Lad Lake, established in 1902, is a school providing 24-hour treatment, education and counseling for adolescent males, and care and counseling for struggling and troubled families. Its residential treatment program features living units, a school and gymnasium, indoor and outdoor recreation facilities, administrative and maintenance facilities, a student employment center and a private 50-acre lake. Formerly known as the Wisconsin Home and Farm School, it offers specialized educational programs through Lakewood School, Campus Day Education, Synergy Alternative School and ULTRA Day Treatment Center. The organization provides individual therapeutic services for delinquents, truants, and youth with mental health issues. Its mentoring program serves boys and girls with a history of truancy, disorderly conduct and an unstable family life. It also offers supervised independent living services. Lad Lake is spread in an area of more than 350 acres and is located in Dousman, Wis.
