Horrible place! After my first experience, I vowed never to go back there. The owner is very condescending, she treats you as if she's superior to you and she charges you extra without telling you exactly what you are being charged for. Go if you want to be looked down upon.

I've been with Kings & Kueens since the very beginning. I'm always assured a professional experience and awesome hair care. Queen is the absolute best !

Before I went to Kueen, my hair was in need of some serious help !! It was thinning and I did not know what to do. The first day I sat with Kueen BOOM !!! magic happened. Girl, my hair went from HELP ME !! to look at ME !! She is great at teaching me how to maintain my hair at home. She provides EXCELLENT hair care and tells me what I should and should not do. She keeps a client card on me and gives me the treatment that will keep my hair strong. She is a professional who shows me she cares about my satisfaction. My hair has improved so much since I have started to go to Kueen. It does not matter what hair problem you have, she can help. She even covers, what I call, my "mirrior" you know, the bald spot on top of my head !! Yes, I am proud to be her client !!! I've been going to her here for over a year. Once you sit in her chair, you WILL go back for more..I did!!!

I was reccomended to this hair salon by little sister who has never seen the inside of a shop before she started to go here. So, I was very unsure of whether this would be a one-time thing or a life-time commitment. It turned out to be the second one.



Everyone in this salon KNOWS what they are talking about and doing when it comes to hair. They actually take the time to let you know what to do once you leave them and it's out of their hands.



My hair was never in horrible shape when I first started going but Kueen took my hair to levels that I didn't even know it could reach! My hair is very healthy because of her hair care skills and the time she takes to thoroughly complete our appointments.



One thing they don't do it use the same products for every client's hair. Everyone's hair is different. They use products that help with a specific type of hair. And another thing they will NOT do is, do something for your hair because you ask for it. They aren't about just making a dollar. If you come in there asking for something that your hair probably won't react well to it, guess who isn't getting that hair style?



You don't find salons where they are decided to the full potential of your hair and not the full potential of how much money they can make in a day.



I reccomend them to any/everyone. You WON'T regret it!

I saw some negative reviews on here which made me a little skeptical, but I listened to my friend's advice and went anyways. It was a very nice place and Kueen the hairdresser was very nice and professional. The assistant there was also very helpful and sweet. In Boston it is hard to find a hair salon that is free from drama and gossip so I think I've found a rare treasure. I saw a post about the stylist pushing products and services you don't need. That was far from the truth on my visit. They only ask you what they think is best for your hair. Sometimes people come to the hair salon and only want them to do certain things but overall a stylist that really cares will tell you the truth to keep your hair healthy. Kueen stylist and owner keeps a really laid back professional salon and I recommend it to anyone who is looking for TRUE HAIRCARE and not for someone to just do what is told to them just to make a profit. Please take time and set an appointment and see for yourself.

K & K is a nice salon, who does great with hair care. I simply love that fact that the stylist there work well together...and that's important to me. so many black salons have a lot a negative things going on beside doing hair. it's a relief to find a salon that is in inner city whom is professional and do a DAMN good job at hair care!

I have been going to Kueen for about 2.5 years now and my hair has never looked better. Yes I have waited sometimes to get my hair done, BUT as a black woman who hasn't waited a bitat a hair salon (get real). She has also squeezed me in when I DIDNT have an appt, which mayhave made someone else have to wait a bit.. SO I don't mind when I have to wait because that person may need her like i needed her the day I didn't have an appt. My hair can be unmanageable and Kueen has tamed my hair to become healthy and strong. She even cut it for me and I would get sooo many compliments about the cut. (and she free styled the cut.) Now, I had an illness and have loss a lot of my hair, I went to Kueen and she will do her best to get my hair back on track. Whether its recommended that I add fake hair to make my hair strong again or continuous conditioning treatment.. I dont care. I PUT all my trust in Kueen. I even travel from Down on the cape area to Boston..Just to have kueen do my hair. She has never steered me wrong even when I didnt want to trim my ends, She does what is best for MY hair.(lol) No one is perfect and no one can make EVERYONE happy, but I am very happy with her service and her skills. God has blessed her with a gift and I am happy to receive and be a recipient of her Gift...

Hello my name is Kueen, stylist and owner of Kings & Kueens Unisex Hair Salons. For one I want the best for people's hair and if recommend one to get a treatment and they don't want it; I will explain to them the importance of the treatment. If they still choose to decline that is fine because some people cannot afford an extra $10-$15. Which is why we do Tuesday specials which include free deep conditioning and free trims with a relaxer and more. We are also about to start our Anniversary Specials which will include $10 rollersets, and $30 relaxer touch-ups for a limited time. Furthermore, I could say a lot more, however, I do not give credit to negative things or people. I've learned a long time ago that it is impossible to please everyone. It is especially hard to please someone who is not happy with themselves. I'm blessed and successful because I am good to people and I keep God first. So, no matter who tries to slander my name or knock me down...Kings & Kueens will stand until God says so because he has the final say. May God Bless you all!

I have been going to Kings and Kueens for a while now and i have to say that it has completely changed. When i first started going what attracted me to the salon was the great customer service skills as well as the look of the shop. As i became a dedicated customer i started to see the shop starting to look run down and dirty. I also started realizing that the customer service i once loved had gotten so bad it made me very uncomfortable to even be in the shop. The owner Kueen is very getto and disrespectful, she tries to get you to get more things done and when you pass she gives you an attitude as if you did something wrong. if you request her to do something with or to your hair she has an attitude and tells the customer "you don't pay me enough to do that." I feel when you are a new customer she will treat your hair the way it should be treated to keep you coming back and once you do she treats you like dirt because she feels you will always come back, but the reality is kueen your clients won't come back for that simple reason. Listen everyone kueen is not the only chick in town that can do hair ok if i would recommend a hair salon it would be A-1 Concepts of Hair on Tremont street in Roxbury Ma. Dalle is the owner and she is very very nice. She also can do hair just the way you want it, and her salon is very nice and clean. As for King and Kueens PLEASE DON'T GIVE HER ANOTHER DIME!

I have been going to Kings & Kueens Salon for over 3 years an never had a bad experience...The staff has always been pleasant and Ms. Kueen is very accommadating to me and to her other clients. I have heard her personally on the phone telling a client who may have called and said can they come in later or reschedule and never heard her become rude or insensative to situation that may come up! I look forward to my appointments at Kings and Kueens, that's my me time...from the moment I walk in the door someone greets me. They are into taking care of the hair not just making money! Even when I'm getting my hair washed if the assistants notice something going on with my hair they immediately tell Ms. Kueen and she will come and check my hair and tell them what kind of treatment I need. It's because of that attention to detail that keeps me coming back. To some people that may not seem like a big deal but I was someone who had a bad experience with another hair salon and came to her with about a 6 inches of hair damaged hair and now I have beautiful healthy hairs that's passed my shoulders. I am always getting compliments and being asked who is my stylist . I have always refered everyone who has asked me about my hair to Kings and Kueens salon and never had anyone every say one negative thing about Ms. Kueen or her staff. So to BROWNSKINBOSTONGIRL good luck in your search for the PERFECT salon!!!

Extremely unprofessional staff and most of all owner (kueen) , the owner rude and so are many of the stylist, not all but majority rules I have never ever been to a salon were they talk about other clients in front of the client it just was so much attitude . I think that is really unprofessional now I know salon is gossip central but that just tacky to me. It\u2019s a place of business not high school. I booked an appointment for 3:00p arrived on time. I sat there for an hour before I decided I could not spend my whole evening in the salon. So I told the stylist I would reschedule I was not planning getting my hair done a 4. She then intern got an instant attitude like I did something wrong. Now it common courtesy to call and let me know your with another client and to come in a 4. No there was no communication from her end. So I wanted rescheduled. Here comes the very unprofessional owner \u2018Who expects to come to the salon and just start getting there hair done\u201d So what the hell is the point of booking an appointment if your not going to be seen at that time. I should just have walk in and got better service please do not get me wrong I not expecting any one to kiss my bottom but let\u2019s act like adults people. BE warned very unpleasant staff. You would think since the Boston area salon biz is so competitive the would have better customer service skills. I believe customer service and effective communication is essential l to running a successful business. If you want a great salon experience check out, GENTLE TOUCH & SALON BOUNCE located in the Grove hall area, great owners very nice atmosphere, great customer service and very respectful of your time. I would not recommend (kings and kueens). DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS COMPANY!!!! YOU ALL HAVE BEEN WARNED!! They get negative stars.

Great Customer Service! Very Professional! Amazing Stylists! I've never had my hair done so well! I've been to many salons in and out of Boston. Kings and Kueens is the BEST by far!!!

My hair has never felt so good for so long. Usually my press n curl last 3 days, but my after my visit at this salon, it lasted a full 2 weeks. Thanks Kings & Kueens!
