- Dickson Electric System is a public utility serving more than 31,000 customers in five counties, Dickson, Hickman, Cheatham, Houston and Montgomery. The company originated in 1905 and began purchasing power from the Tennessee Valley Authority in 1936. Dickson offers bank drafts, security lights, levelized billing, heat pump loans, energy-right new homes and manufactured home programs and surge protection. The company offers safety lighting for home and business with a DES security light. The company also offers surge protection for the home to protect household appliances and electronic equipment. Dickson markets a product called the Emergency Beacon. It's a clear-glass light bulb installed in the porch light socket and used as a normal light. But in a 911 emergency situation, a double flick of the switch turns the bulb into a flashing beacon that can be seen at night and 125 yards during the day.

a tree fell onto some wires and our electricity was out today. Sat 9/10. the workers were out here pretty fast and repaired the problem, even putting up a new pole. great job Dickson Electric...
The most terrible aweful company I have ever had to deal with in my life!!! Rude as hell over the phone and steal every last dime from you they possibly can. Website is wayyyy out of date. They will charge you a canceled check fee if you accidently type in a wrong number while entering payment info. No reasoning with customers what so ever. The bitches will argue with you until they get their damn money. Even if they are in the wrong. These people should be ashamed of themselves!!! They will cut off your electricity without notice and offer no help or guidance if your bill is outrageously high. They don't deserve any stars at all.
Just want to say thank you to the electric company for working so hard yesterday and today to get our power back on. My grandbabies are safe now

Provided by SuperpagesPower went out at about 4:30 11/3/2012 at my mom's apartment. It is now 9:47 P.M. and still no power. She is 93 and can't see. 1/2 of the elderly comlex has power. I don't understand what is taking so long??? Again, she cannot see and uses a walker and now is in total darkness. i cannot get an explanation when i call the dispatcher.
