Repeat adopter here. Love them & would not hesitate to adopt from them in future. The staff & volunteers really get to know these pets & their personalities...which is great! I read some of these reviews...but have had nothing but great experiences with them.

From Business: Since that time we have been able to hire staff and institute programs including humane education, spay/neuter assistance and prevention of animal cruelty. The greatest service the GIHS provides for the community is simple ; a humane shelter for lost and unwanted animals.

The staff really cares about the health and comfort of the animals for adoption. They are a very small facility servicing a large amount of stray and owner turned in pets. Dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, etc, can be adopted here, so take a look in person or online.

Stephanie, I have an abandoned cat that had beautiful kitties - and they are now 6-7 weeks old. She brought them to me on my patio. By all means you are welcome to one or tow. I have an indoor cat and she will NOT allow any animal in "Her Home".
We had a wonderful; experience with them. We adopted an Australian cattle dog and he is happy and healthy, and we are happy with him.
