You would think that COBO Center would be organized and that the staff would be courteous, professional and accommodating. You would definitely think that the staff would use common sense but all of the following would be completely mythical. I would not recommend COBO to anyone who doesn't have several thousand dollars to put towards their event because any smaller event will be treated as such and tossed around like it is somehow not worth their time.
I had a fashion show here and so many last minute changes were made. From our room assignment to the parking assignment and more. Our room was moved two days before the show because of some last minute air issue. This is definitely failure to prepare on their part. If they would have taken my event seriously, this would have been foreseen and avoided. Instead, I was placed right across the hall from another fashion show. We were so close we could hear each others music. My show was high fashion and theirs was more religious. Needless to say we had people running in and out, back and forth trying to figure out which show they were supposed to be at.
Also, we were allotted 4 passes for parking. None of them were honored because two days before the show, we were told that the roof would be closed and that we would be parking in the garage. Well, the garage turned away the passes and said that they were for the roof, not the garage.
I am still refunding money to those who could not find the room (because it was moved and was tucked away in the corner) and who missed the show trying to find parking. I wouldn't recommend COBO Hall to anyone for their special event.
