***A REAL REVIEW*** Great spot to pick up and go This place overall is pretty good. I say this because I have run into some issues, but judging by surrounding circumstances I could understand why those situations happened the way they did. The food is great, it is always fresh. It is a little on the high price end but it is worth it. I love the Grilled Chicken pitas and they are generous with the chicken ;) which is a winner for me. I prefer to pick up and go. I have eaten inside and it is too stuffy- Also the waitresses are not very approachable or friendly, you would think that in a business they would stress that the waitresses be friendly after all they are the ones customers most interacted with. Parking Lot is so hard to get around, it is so tiny. They now accept debit/credit card which they didn't before, so that is great. I tell ya I never carry cash, but this is one place I always remembered to have cash on hand- back when they did not accept debit/credit card. The not so great dining in, and small parking lot- does not discourage me from going and picking up food from here and enjoying it!
When I was young my dad would could ribs regularly during summer months. In winter he worked hard and brought ribs home. They became one of my favorite foods. This was in the early eighties. We lived in Detroit then. As I grew into my preteen years my parents split. We moved to the downriver area with my mother. dad stayed in Detroit. He still cooked in summer. I found the source of the carry out ribs one night on the way to stay with him for the weekend. He exited the freeway and went to Vicki's. He was very particular about his ribs as he used to have a barbeque restaraunt of his own. He tried alot of places but Vicki's was always his favorite. Its been 14 years now since dad has passed and Vicki's is the only place that tastes anything near what he used to cook for us. I have been eating there since I was a child and will continue as long as possible. Theres alot of rib joints in Detroit, but only one worth the trip from Monroe. I am not sure how long this place has been there, but I have been a customer for at least 21 years. R. Porter
I love Sindbads I am always there with my sister and dad. I went yesterday and there was a waitress that works there named Jenni and she begs for tips she constantly talked about only making $2 hour and that she cant afford tampon (yes tampons). She gave bad service and the bread rolls were brought out after we ate dinner but we still left her a $13 dollar tip but she begged for more so then we took it back, she is a chubby girl with earrings piercings in her face. Low class and trash should not be visible while servicing customers at such a GREAT restaurant. She is SAD and should go get a sign that says (Work for tips and tampons) Beware because her thirst is real. Great tasty food but bad waitress :( ~Obamas Pennies~
