My daughter chose Johnny's for her birthday dinner! She ordered the Medallion Trio, her favorite and oft ordered entree. She ordered it medium rare. When it arrived it was tough and definitely not medium rare. Our gracious and attentive server, Hannah, had someone sent to the table to address our daughter's concerns. It was taken to the kitchen. Upon the return of the same medallions our daughter was told to hold it up to the light of the window to check it! We were all taken aback at that suggestion!! The gal was pretty assertive and made it clear that nothing would be done to correct the problem. Rather than create a scene we took the medallions home to our dog who doesn't mind tough and overcooked. This was not how we intended for our daughter to spend her birthday dinner!! Johnny's has always been a favorite of ours. Even though my husband and I were satisfied with our meals the shabby treatment by that staff member certainly tainted our enjoyment of the experience!

Was seated fast, but no one came to give us water or take an order, so got up to leave, told a ""Gentleman"" in the lobby that I was upset, my wife was 3/4 out the door, he said that he would adjust our bill, if we would come back, after a few minutes, my wife said OK, we ordered our items, they were ok, nothing special, just an ok meal. Then the bill came, not adjusted, the waitress said that since the ""Manager"" offered to buy us a desert, that was ""our adjustment"" well I guess I should have asked for an""adjustment"" I thought that I might have been given a $5.00 or $10.00 of, but no. I guess this will be another Iltalian Restrunt I can cross off our list of suggested places to go.

Excellent food means absolutely nothing if the service is horrific. Never to return and definitely won't recommend this dive to anyone ever! Waitress slammed down our entrees on the edge of the dining table before salads were close to being finished. Never once asked how anything was. I've been travelling across the country for 17 yrs and this is one of the worst ""fine"" dining experiences ever. This review system won't allow a negative star rating which is what it deserves.
Johnny's is not the place to go for a quick bite, but the food is well worth the prices. Mind you, the prices are not out of line, but you will probably pay $20 for dinner, plus drinks and tip. However, the steaks and seafood are excellent. The crab-stuffed shrimp are mouth-watering, as is the steak with blue cheese. I love the bread with olive oil, so much better than the standard white roll and butter found in so many places. The seating is comfortable; the drinks are great; and I've never had bad service. Go, relax, and indulge.

This restaurant oozes atmosphere and the food does not disappoint. A long cozy dinner was intimate and romantic with terrific food - the Marilyn Monroe pasta dish was just terrific! My dining companion's steak was perfect and his fries were very good.
We were seated immediately, but I don't know if that would be a regular occurrence or not - it was a weekend, but a late meal (after 8 PM). I am unsure of their reservation policies, but a reservation might not be a bad idea, especially on a weekend night.
This is definitely a ""special occasion"" place, and one where you could dine as dressed up as you wished. Even jeans were not frowned upon here, but the restaurant does feel more like a ""dress-up"" place. Perfect for a date night.
