Being in the midst of March there was one thing on my mind as I ventured out to the Denver streets in search of good wine, dine, and everything in between. That thing was called March Madness. It’s once a year and calls for endless good times, especially while out in public cheering for your favorite team with locals, and maybe even shouting some boo’s at those who favor an opposing team. With basketball on my mind I made my way out of my down town Denver apartment, and found myself just past Speer Boulevard on Lincoln. An area called Capital Hill was where I found an illuminated sign for a bar/grill that particularly caught my eye. The sign read Stoney’s Bar and Grill. As quickly as I was attracted towards the sign and name, my attention was thwarted by the masses of people at the bar’s outdoor patio. With bright light and sound coming from every facet of this place I knew I had found my destination. As a sport’s fan going out for food I especially knew that I wanted a location with TV’s broadcasting the major NCAA tournament games. Little to my knowledge I had found just that place. As I made my entrance there was cheer coming from every corner of the restaurant/bar, and it was spilling out to the outdoor balcony. In my site was more than twenty five TV’s all of which were streaming basketball games from the tournament. With almost an instance I was greeted at the door and reception area by two lovely hosts. With college gear on they lead me through the masses to a high seated booth in fine site of all the games. As the host handed me my menu she stated how all of their dishes were new and upgraded, and that a server would be with me in just a minute. Peering down towards the menu I noticed mainly bar food, however it was high class. From grilled Ahi, to American Deluxe Sliders, they had all the essentials of high class bar food covered. And not to mention prices that were more than fair considering the place, and more importantly location. Being a burger fan I went with the sliders. Amongst the vast menu, there was a drink menu that was twice as pleasing. It was full of specials on specials. Three for one deals on select mixed drinks, and countless other deals flooded the pages of the drink menu. Win. After a few minutes of having my menu down I was waited on and my orders were in. My drink was delivered promptly and so were the refills. Lounged in a comfy bar chair with a drink in one hand, and my tournament bracket in the other, life was good. As I watched Louisville pursue a twelve point come back against Michigan State my food was served and it exceeded my expectations by far. With all the festive decor of random sports teams, college flags, ski gondolas, and scattered random items I figured the place was mainly known as a drink hang out. Oh and the skee ball set up in the back. None the less the food was delicious and I was one full, and pleased man. As I sat digesting my meal the game was near ending. My team was winning and so was I. I got to go out on a beautiful Colorado day to a bar and grill that was more than pleasing. The youthful party atmosphere was immediately welcoming, especially with the NCAA games on full blast. I had more than a enjoyable experience, and knew upon my arrival that I would be coming back. If you’re someone like me who likes to go out to watch sporting events, enjoy a little sun on the patio, and drink specials for exclusive hours, then this is a place for you. With a glamorous menu, and endless entertainment Stoney’s Bar and Grill is hard to beat.
I love Cinnebarre!!! Finally there is a place where adults can go to have a good yime and not hve to worry about kids or teens ruining a movie for you. You can stretch out your legs, choose to eat or drink from a wode selection on their menu, and priced are decent! Also I would like to add a comment to those who have pisted negative. I'm sorry if your child got scared by the people, maybe you should teach them not to judge. I have piercings, tattoos and i am a nurse and soon to be a mother. Also Cinnebarre is geared more towards the over 18 crowd anyways. So it was your choice to bring your children/grandchildren there
I am a fan of Latin dance. I love to dance and El Potrero is probably the only place in town for the gay community. However the admission fee went up from $5.00 to $7.00 to $10.00 in less than a year but they let so many people in that it is always very crowded and It is almost impossible to get around let alone have fun on the dance floor wothout being pushed, stepped on or elbowed. It poses a safety issue. Would the owners ever consider limiting the number of occupants at one given time? It seems that all they want is to make as much money as possible without even considering the customers satisfaction.
I've looked over the reviews prior to mine and do not agree with some of the harsher critiques. I find the bar to be very friendly and actually very nice. In my experience the bartenders are not allowed to drink while on duty. For the most part, the staff are well-mannered, friendly and attentive. The other customers there seem to be enjoying themselves and regulars are usually welcoming to new folks genuinely. I'm sorry other reviews find so much to complain about, but my personal, experience has always been very good and I plan on being there often.
We've been here plenty of times and never had a problem. Reasonably priced and good food. Think it's pretty funny that someone else relates it's perceived 'blandness' to this state and natives. There are definitely some poor Italian/Mediterranean restaurants around, but this is not one of them. Must be some reason why it's international and has been in business for so long. Customers keep coming back. Perhaps nonnatives should get around a little more and try some other places before coming to superficial conclusions...
I haven't been there since they change the bar. Just went recently and a GREAT time. There's all type of people. Men, women, straight, gay, young, old, and all races. Everyone has a good time. Dancing starts at 9pm and the music is great to dance. The dance floor gets packed and you meet all type of people. People are very friendly. I went on a Friday all evening and great time. The dance floor was packed. Want a good time in Denver, go to the Pound.
This place was so unexpected. There food is not the typical bar food- honestly I finished every last bite! The drink specials provided a good variety. This is my new favorite place to start out the evening. Great for all ages! I heard they have another UFC fight coming up, I'm way excited, I'll be there for sure!

My husband and I absolutely love riding our bikes up to Billy's for happy hour. The atmosphere is casual and local (and we love the mist sprinklers on the patio... Perfect for summer!). They have great specials and usually great service. Glad to have these guys in the neighborhood!
