This is the second car I have bought from Phil Long and prior to that I had purchased new cars from two other dealers in Denver. Going forward I will only be doing business with Phil Long Ford for any of my car purchases. First, let me say that Jennifer Spiegel was the best new car sales person I have ever dealt with. She is honest as the day is long and truly cares about the customer. I told her that what I wanted was a good deal for me and a fair deal for Phil Long. And that is exactly what she delivered. Do your homework on Kelly Blue Book to know what the ranges are for the car you want to buy, and then be straightforward with Jennifer and she will be straightforward with you. I worked with Jennifer and the Internet Sales Manager, Eric Roberg and got just what we wanted--a good deal for us and a fair deal for the dealer. In addition, Kevin Shaughnessy, who is the GM, is very customer-focused. He has a passion for selling Fords and a passion for treating his customers fairly. I had a small hiccup in the transaction and wrote him a letter about it. He immediately jumped right in with an email to me saying he would look into it and that he wanted to make it right. Then he called me back on my cell phone and gave me two options--both of which were fair to me. When I went back to the dealership to get it resolved, he took me into his office and brought in one of his team members to get the matter right! Wow!!! That is customer service at its best. Kevin didn't delegate it; he took care of it himself. Now, when you are buying a car, don't you want to know that you can count on the GM to have your back if there is a hiccup??? I can say from personal experience that the guy you see on TV in the Phil Long ads who looks like the sort of guy you can trust when buying a car, is the guy you can truly trust. Don't just take it from Wes Welker who can catch footballs better than me, take it from Tom Ryan. I was not paid for this endorsement for Phil Long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just know an honest person in the car business when I see one--I spent 6 years as a consumer and law reporter for a television station in St. Louis where I did many stories on the car business!!! So I give you both a personal and professional opinion on Phil Long and its management!!! It starts from the top, and Kevin Shaughessy is truly one of the best in the business!!! (And, be sure to ask for Jennifer Spiegle!!! Together they are a team you can trust when buying a car.)
I read about the 2010 Chevy Equinox on the internet and decided to check one out. Since I pass Mike Shaw Chevrolet everyday coming from work I chose them to do my investigation. On Saturday I made an appointment via email to stop by and see what the new Equinox was all about. I have been in the Denver area for a month and had an out of state registration on my 2007 Trailblazer. I was amazed by the Equinox test drive, as it is everything the experts say and what you read about the improvements GM have made. More than that was the no pressure approach by the sales staff. We went over the inventory they had and I decided on a LS model with AWD. The negotiations were very professional and not what usually is expected at a car dealership. We agreed on a price that was mutually acceptable to both parties and they offered a better credit deal than my Credit Union offered, based on my credit score. I felt that I was a regular customer for many years rather than someone from out of state that had just walked in. Everyone I passed greeted me and the Salesman, New Car Manager and General Manager all were genuine in their conversations with me. I spent time with the Business Manager filling out the paperwork and by coincidence we both had lived in the same area prior to moving to Colorado. The out of state registration and insurance posed no problems. I heartily recommend the Mike Shaw Chevrolet and Saab dealership because they actually cared about me as a customer and my needs rather than a way to sell a very popular model to the guy who just walked in for a look.
I just purchased my new Silverado from here 4 days ago and I was so impressed with these guys and gals, that I promised I would give them a great review. My salesperson Joel, was patient and not pushy....he helped put everything in perspective for me....he even helped me get a lower rate on insurance for my new Silverado. He knew exactly what i needed to try a new lease. And just when I thought I was ready to go, their finance department put the cherry on top. They went over all the details in my paperwork and even recommended some pretty awesome option to take care of my new truck. Joaquin the finance manager really helped me understand my options and benefits with leasing...if all goes well i hope to always lease a new car from them. Once I was done with my paperwork Joel walked me thru taking delivery of my Silverado. He went thru it with tidious detail. He showed me everything from how to check my tire pressures on the dash to how to even set the clock. I am trully astonished the level of Superior service I have received. CHEVROLET needs to recognize these guys for their awesome service. I told Joel that I will be sending all my friends and family to him so that they too can receive the high quality service I have received. Truly impressed with my new truck and these guys have raised the bar in quality customer service. Thanks
