Racine's ALWAYS delivers on all fronts. This may not be five star dining (nor is it intended to be), but it's excellent homestyle cooking with enough interesting choices for everyone, and a price point that makes for a regular go-to dining spot.

One of my favorite haunts..service, food, atmosphere is all so good. Well-priced menu. Try the bison burger and salmon lox cold plate.

I have gone to Racine's for about 20 years, used to be over on Speer, and I love it. The food has always been the best, and I love the ambiance of the new place and the parking garage is a plus, although I live close by and walk. The servers are a little lax, but that's true of most places now. They are however very friendly, and I never feel rushed. Racine's has always had great bakery items also. I almost always see people I know when I'm there; just one more plus for this old timer.

I grew up in Denver and have always ventured to this restaurant whenever I have the chance. I'm a NY Diner so I think it says a lot. The variety of food here is wide and I adore the restaurant's decor. The drinks are also very good and I love the central bar. I've always had great service here. It's also nice that they have a parking lot. I'm in love.

I just had brunch at Racines on Sunday and felt the atmosphere, service and food were very nice and enjoyable. We had a large group and even though they were very busy, the food came out hot, good and with excellent service. While this is not a fancy restaurant, they seem to serve quality food and gracious service. Our whole family enjoyed it very much.

So I have gone to Racines quite a few times during my various times living in denver.\r Always the same. Great people watching. Fun atmosphere. Lousy service. Food is okay.\r I don't understand what it is with service in Denver. Why it's so bad. \r We ate a late lunch on Sunday. Got immediately transferred from one server to another. The first one's name I didn't get, the second ones was as forgettable as his attention to our table. \r I had some coffee, didn't get any sugar on the table until after it was refilled. NEVER got a water refill. The server couldn't follow the most simple of instructions concerning the splitting the bill evenly between two cards. At a table next to us, a server sat a bartender and I am assuming a cook, both from Racines, and helped them hide their smoking. Seriously???\r Lousy, lousy, lousy...\r \r I have an idea. People in Denver who want to be servers. First of all, do something else. Second, if you can't do anything else - go spend a year or two in a big city like Chicago. Or anywhere in Cali or NY. And work as a server there. You might actually get an opportunity to understand what it is like to take care of the guest. \r Because here in Denver, not all restaurants should hire burnouts, late night Diner servers and ski bums (dude, you ready to order yet or what...) as their staff.\r \r Unfortunately I'll probably go back to Racines sooner than I'd like to.

Racine's is great! I went there after hearing about it from friends and reading the reviews. Now I feel like I want to go there for lunch every day! The patio is great, and they have umbrellas so it doesn't get too hot. The service is fast and friendly, and not overbearing. They have excellent coffee. The food is terrific. Great selection of sandwiches and burgers, as well as breakfast stuff. They have a limited ""late breakfast"" on the menu during the lunch hour also, and their sunday brunch features breakfast and lunch food. Highly recommend the bagel and lox platter (excellent) and the gouda/turkey croissant with cranberry sauce (not soggy and very fresh). They have a large parking garage with free parking - very convenient! Will definitely be back over and over.

I don't understand why people think Racine's is so great. The food is average to say the least. It's basically fancy fast food. The place is always packed though, I think people are so used to low quality food and they don't know the difference between quality vs quantity.\r \r

Racine's is great! The menu has something for everyone and I always have a difficult time deciding on what I want. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are great. Their seating is very comfortable. Service is always friendly and great. I don't have a bad thing to say and will continue to be a repeat customer! Racine's is a Denver institution for good reason!

I eat here at least once per week because simply put, most Denver restaurants close their kitchens by 9 p.m. Racine's is smart enough to know that people need a place to have a nightcap or dessert or even a full meal after the theater. And they have a bar that doesn't attract drunks. The prices are good, the staff is knowledgable and extremely friendly and the menu has enough variety to satisfy anybody's palette. I have never waited for breakfast, lunch or dinner more than a few minutes and generally don't wait at all.

Racine's is a nifty restaurant, but I really cannot necessarily get behind all the rave reviews about it. I will say, the food is good, and I've never had bad service, but I think the food is far overpriced for what it is. I've found the dishes to be mediocre, and if this was not in the middle of the city and out in the burbs somewhere, I have a feeling the entrees would all be at least $1-2 less expensive. Can't be all bad though, everyone I take there from out of town ALWAYS wants to go here and love the place. Maybe I'm just too picky ;) I'd reccomend if you just want some plain food in the downtown area in a decent atmosphere, but don't expect anything more than a very mid-level restaurant.

my fiance and i had our rehearsal dinner at racine's. 30+ people and one poor waitress had to help all of us. when i first found out it was just one waitress i was a little scared, but she pulled through. she was AWESOME! i always get the dixon's steak salad... it's always delish! sometimes i send the steak back b/c it's a little well done, but they're always appologetic. i absolutely love racine's and our entire wedding party and family loves the place as well!

Oh wow, I love this place. It's just cool to have a restaurant that has great food with excellent service. One little example is I asked the waiter if there was lard in the refried beans. He zipped back to the kitchen to find out then like a boomerang he zipped back to my table with the verdict?.beans are made vegetarian style. This isn?t a place to take a special date and expect a romantic quiet meal. It?s one of those places that are lively and fun. Perfect for after a play or a movie. Did I mention the art that is rotated on a regular basis? Art from local artist decorates the walls and provides for an interesting experience in and of it?s self. Back to the food, try the guacamole, or the chicken tacos, fresh and tasty! I also recommend the ?Dixon?s Steak Salad?. \r Regardless if you are going alone or with a dozen friends, go and expect great service. You?ll not be disappointed. \r

I, along with 20 or so friends I have taken to Racine's thus far, have become huge fans. The place never under delivers with the food quality, taste, portion and timely delivery. The menu is very diverse and so is the crowd (I mean mainly age diversity, unlike diversity found at Watercourse). Whether one is looking for a hang-over pick me up or a catch up with a friend over a yummy brunch -- Racine's will not fail in being the place to do it!

Since I moved to Denver last year I have dined at Racines 2-3 times a month. The food is always great and so is the atmosphere. However, the ONLY good service I have had at Racines is when I sit at the bar. The bartenders are always attentive and friendly, if not going above and beyond. It took me getting mediocre service in the dining room countless different times before I smartened up and moved to the bar. I work in the service industry so I am usually sympathetic towards servers overlooking small details. However, forgetting something I asked for FOUR times and then being rude to me about it is not such a small detail. I am also very understanding when I can see that a server is busy as long as that server can still present themselves with a smile. This is not the case at Racines. Every time I dine there when its busy, my server has been short with us, forgetful, slow, and even rude. This all came together for me last week when I was sitting at the bar. The same server I seem to always receive dreadful service from was standing in the well and bad-mouthing all of his seated customers. So if you want great service, go to Good Friends or to Dixons, where the menus are almost identical to Racines. If you insist on going to Racines do yourself a favor and sit at the bar but away from the well where all the servers go to bad mouth the customers who help to pay their bills.

We took our entire family there for Father's Day. Everyone loved it from the small kids to the Grandparents. I had the Green Chile Omelette. It was delicious. They do a wonderful job making everyone fell comfortable. It was very busy and yet the food and service were spot on. The decor is comfortable and very attractive. I eat lunch there often and our family goes for dinner. I love the margaritas. and the parking garage is a true bonus. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant in Denver. I have been there so many times and each time it has been consistently good. From the salads to steaks, I really enjoy their creative dishes. Appetizers are terrific as well. We usually do have to wait since we come during the rush hour for dinner, but it is never that long. The service is great, can't beat the free parking either. I always have a hard time choosing what to eat since there are so many selections. The atmosphere is unique, modern and fun.

Early Saturday morning on the patio with a cool, sun-dappled breeze, a warm skinnly latte, and Racines Breakfast Salad--fresh fruit, the house granola with sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, filberts, etc. and low-fat yogurt. Saturady mornings don't get much better.
