So incredible....whether you are catering an office event or having a private party - MHPP's food is simply A-MAZING!! The folks at the office rave about the quality of the pasta dishes and my friends are head-over-heels for the stuffed pizza and cheesy bread!! Simply a MUST when in Denver. Not to mention, the staff is like no other - warm, friendly and clearly - they know what they are doing!! Don't forget ... view moreWas this review helpful?Yes No|Flag Abuse

- With a high-traffic location just off the 16th Street Mall, Mile High Pizza Pie serves up true New York-style pizza to hungry Denverites. The surroundings are modest (Mile High has takeout and delivery, as well as a casual dining-in area), but the pizzas are not: Howard Ellis honed his pizza-making skills in Brooklyn, and general manager Dino Marchig went to Naples to learn the art of the pie. Mile High uses only 100 percent whole-milk mozzarella and fresh mozzarella on its pizzas; sausage from a producer in Lakewood is the only ingredient not made in-house. (Mile High also gets its cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.) You can build your own pizza from those ingredients or choose from one of Mile High's special combos; Neapolitan pizzas come in 8-, 12- and 16-inch sizes, while specialty pies are 12- and 16-inch only. Mile High also offers wings and garlic twists as starters, and calzones, pastas and salads as pizza alternatives. Brave customers can attempt the Great Calzone Challenge, which dares a diner to consume a 7.5-pound calzone and a large soft drink in under ninety minutes. Do so, and you get the $20 calzone for free, along with a T-shirt and your picture on the wall of fame!
