We visits the restaurant some time because in Denver no anymore russian restaurant with authentic food where open everyday. The food good enough for russian people: borhch, golubtsy, seledka, kartoshka etc. But if you are not russian you can be confused because russian food is specific compare american fustfood and steaks. Service and interior could be better.
Any other russian restaurants in Denver working very rarely: one .. two times per month.

I am sorry I did not read reviews before I got to this terrible place. Interior is OK but food and service are... just a punishment. The place is dirty, service is very lousy. It could be a good example of lowest level Russian eatery from the old times, but even in a worst place Russian food could not be that bad. If you want to risk your stomach, if you want to destroy your lunch or dinner, if you want to feel miserable or fulfill any secret masochistic desires than you can step by this ""Little Europe"". In any other cases it would not make any sense. Who ever enters that place once would never come again.

I had a coupon through Entertainment and saw the ad under fine dining. Not !
The food was not at all as described and the price was more than listed in the book.
I ordered the Chicken Kiev and it was beyond horrible. We were the only ones there on Mothers Day and the service was incredibly slow.
The server seemed to be the cook also and had on a dirty apron.
I cut into the Kiev and it was raw and bloody. I sent it back and they brought it back once they redipped in the fryer grease. I can't describe what it looked like inside but that wasn't chicken. I couldn't eat it. Plus, there was a hair in our appetizer.
My son and daughter ordered a goulash and barely ate their meal. They said it was bland, and overcooked.
When I asked for another soda, ours had no fizz! I just got an eye roll and another no fizz one.
I eat out frequently and this is my number 1 place to avoid. Rate less than a 1. I would never go back or recommend.

We were greeted then seated quickly and asked for drink. There were only 2 - 2 tops, plus us. Seemed to take 10 minutes to get drinks...another 10 to place order, and another 45 minutes before our entree's were delivered. I ordered the pork kabob with white rice and that's exactly what I got - no more, no less. My Wife ordered the basil shrimp with white rice. My pork kabob was very overdone and not much flavor - even though they marinated it. My Wife's plate wasn't too great either but she said it was ""ok"". Our waitress decided to do a table visit after we were done and asked how it was...I proceeded to tell her that my pork kabob was slightly dry - trying to be nice about it - she didn't care, she proceeded to pickup our dishes. Another 15 minutes to get the bill.

All the food was tasty and well prepared. I was pretty full before we ever got to the main course. The Borscht soup was perfectly flavored and just right with the sour cream. The potato dumplings were also superb. We were not rushed at all despite the fact that they were setting up for two parties later in the evening. The hours are a little unusual: Closed Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Not open until 2 PM Saturday. But it is worth the time to plan your schedule around theirs.
