    loved it!

    Provided by

Food was excellent. The tiki masala and the chicken makhani were fabulous. Will now be a regular customer. Medium heat was enough to warm us up and clear our heads. Service was great and friendly. Get there early, as it fi/lls up quickly, we noticed

    Best Indian food in town!!!

I love there food!!! The tiki masala and chicken vindaloo is the best I've ever had. They are usually packed on the weekends, so i would advise making a reservation! I seriously love this food and go here for every special occasion with my family!!!

    Amazing authentic Indian food

    Provided by

My husband and I have been going to India's for 8 years, we are vegetarian and so have had only that side of the menu (which is vast). India's garlic naan is beautifully cooked, it comes to you freshly cooked and warm, the palak paneer is smooth rich and creamy, bengan bharta too die for, and so many other decadent and delicious items. They have a good wine list, and finishing up with a mango lassi is a must. We have never gone there and not enjoyed our meal, it can be on the expensive side for dinner we usually spend 50-65 for the two of us. Brunch however is a great deal, while there is not a lot variety everything is still very tasty and you can walk away spending around 20-25. We have had mixed service, sometimes they can be very warm and welcoming, other times depending on the server it's a rather cold reception, but we have always had prompt service and our glasses are never empty. I'm not that into overtly friendly servers anyways so it doesn't bother me too much, we go for outstanding food!

    The. Best. Indian. Food. Period.

    Provided by

This is absolutely the best Indian food I've had anywhere. Ever. We love coming here, despite the bad service. Everything tastes home-cooked and I've never had a bad meal there. Just go expecting a wonderful meal and not so wonderful service! You will be glad you did!

    Came for lunch

I wanted to treat my boyfriend for the first time and was REALLY disappointed when I saw like 4 items to chose from from the buffet. The food was good though for what they had, but I was really sad when they didn't have the blocks of cheese in the spinach dish. And only ONE desert?!! Come on :(

    Highly Disappointed

    Provided by

I read the reviews and decided to check this place out. As I entered the restaurant, the atmosphere was really nice, but the waitstaff don't have personalities. My boyfriend is not a picky eater, and was not impressed with this place. We ordered an apetizer and I was disappointed because I felt like I was eating grease over and over. The only thing I enjoyed about the meal was the Tandoori bread, and the salad which I could make at home. I ended up paying $64 for an apetizer, a glass of wine, and 2 meals. For this price, I should have taken him downtown. \r I would definitely think twice before dining here.

Good service (as long as your not a woman), very good food

    Provided by

I am a huge fan of Indian food and was very happy with the quality of the food. However, I was absolutely treated like a 2nd class citizen when my husband and I had dinner on a Friday night, several months ago. The only members of the all-male waitstaff who even acknowledged my presence or bothered to speak to me were the busboys, and the water servers (they were clearly Latin-American). The waiters (of either Bangladeshi, Indian or Pakistani decent) only addressed my husband and the only time the waiter looked at me was to take my order. When the waiter came back late in the meal to check on how ""we"" were doing he asked, ""How is everything, sir?"" and didn't even look at me for my response. My husband was also very aware of it and we just sat there amazed, watching this bizarre, backward drama play itself out. I didn't complain and neither of us asked any of the staff about it and remained polite and cheerful so as not to disturb the ongoing weirdness. I also wanted to see if any of these men would warm up to a friendly customer. Even on the way out of the restaurant the only person that the waiter or maitre'd said thank you to (""Thank you, sir!"") was my husband. At that point, I gave up and started walking out of the restaurant as the maitre'd and waitstaff crowded around my husband to thank him. I felt like I'd entered a 14-century patriarchal society (or modern-day Afghanistan) in the middle of southsuburban Denver. The finest restaurants in the United States always treat women with respect, chivalry, and dignity. I experienced the exact opposite.

    Finally, really great Indian food

    Provided by

This is the best Indian restaurant we've been to in the Denver area. The atmosphere is very nice, the service is prompt but not in-your-face, and the food is truly spectacular. It was deeply flavorful and not simply hacked together or dumbed down like so many other ethnic restaurants. It was a delight dining here.

    Very bad customer service

    Provided by

We made a reservation and had to wait 30 minutes when we arrived on time. Obviously reservations do not mean much at this restaurant. We waited almost an hour for our food and had to flag the waiter down. He did not come back until 45 minutes later. We only got our food after we asked for it again after waiting. When we complained about waiting almost an hour on our food we were told that it usually takes 45 minutes to get the food so they suggest appetizers. Our server never told us that and we ordered naan originally and we did not get that until after we got our food. The food was very good but the service was horrible. We did not receive an apology and because of the bad service we will not be returning. Had management at India's given an apology and good customer service we would have came back.

The Best Indian Restaurant in Colorado.. Amazing food. great service... \r In my 14 years of eating Indian food, this place, by far offers the best indian food. \r If you live in Colorado and want to try Indian food, make this the place to do so..\r only other place that I can compare to this indian restaurant is India's Castle in Greenwood Village, but India's is simply the best...\r \r I been a customer here for more than 5 years... I love the samosa, they have lamb samosa too.. Its an apptizer stuffed with potatoes in crispy crust (veggie) and/or lamb(non-veggie) both are excellent.. and the Ticca Marsala.. is delicious.. and the Jhangir - with shrimp and chicken..\r Great wine list..\r Excellent.....

    my most favorite restaurant

    Provided by

i've never been to india, so i really wouldn't know if i've ever had ""authentic"" indian cuisine, but i do know that i had been to 3 indian restaurants before coming to India's, 12 years ago, kicking and screaming that i HATED indian food. this was deliciousness like i had never had before. and to everyone posting that the service is lackluster,... i have no clue what you're talking about!!?? perhaps YOU'RE being rude and loud and demanding and the staff just doesn't care to take that from you. i had waited tables for eons and only ask for my water to be filled, for my order to be right, and for the server to genuinely care when they ask how everything is. i get above and beyond that with my experiences in this restaurant. \r my husband and i get take out from india's almost every friday night. i don't know if the ""older"", (because he can't really be all that old), bald guy is the owner or has just been the manager for 12 years, but he's always wonderful and super nice. \r wonderful food and excellent service. to anyone who says the service is anything but, i would wonder about them.

    Excellent excellent excellent!

    Provided by

I've seen other reviews on here about the poor service, and my husband and I went there last nite expecting good food and not much else. We found the service impeccable, the wait staff very friendly, and the food was amazing. Having been in the restaurant business for years, I know that some customers demand the staff wait on them hand and foot, and other customers want to be left alone to eat in peace. I think that the service was a happy medium between the two, and our food came out reasonably fast. I would recommend ordering an appetizer first if you are really hungry so that the wait doesn't seem as long. Also, it's wise to make reservations to make sure you get right in, otherwise you could wait awhile to be seated as the place was jam packed. Excellent decorum and great ambiance. Two thumbs way up!

    Never a disappointment, always phenomenal!

    Provided by

My love of this restaurant started when I was in High School (over 10 years ago). My parents love this place and have taken me numerous times, driving all the way down to Denver from Greeley just because they love it so much. Now that I live in Denver, I try to stop by as much as I can.\r \r In the multiple times I have been to India's I have NEVER, not once, been disappointed. The food is always extremely delicious, the service is top notch & we've never had to wait for a table. I highly recommend a mango lasse with an onion salad to start topped off with some garlic naan. I have ordered many different dishes during my many different visits and every last one of them has exceeded my expectations. I think the lamb tikka masala is my favorite with a tomato soup to start.\r \r Such delicately & perfectly flavored dishes. Just thinking about it makes me wish I was there right now.

    Superior food, inferior service!

    Provided by

I have eaten here several times over the years, always for dinner. They have great food, but the service is only so-so. I have had the same waiter on more than one occasion, and he is always rude, so I don't think it is a matter of having an 'off' night--I think he's just a mediocre waiter. It is sad, because I love the food. If I didn't live so far away, I would consider take-out and avoid the service issue! However, I have chosen to go to a another Indian restaurant closer to home lately. The food isn't quite as good, but the service more than makes up for it.

    The Best Indian Restaurant

    Provided by

India's is simply the very best Indian restaurant in Denver, with no exceptions, and the service is very good; those who say it isn't probably visited on a night that was very busy. I have never had any problems, and I have eaten there since 1995, maybe three times a month. It is better than the Indian restaurants I visited in Tokyo, where I lived (and ate!) for 10 years; the menu is better, there are many dishes, all of which are good. I go to India's with my family and friends. I first visited India's after talking to many many Indians and questioning them about their own favorite restaurant; 80% recommended India's, and so I went and the 80% were right. One of them said it is one of the three best Indian restaurants in the United States. My favorite dishes are those with coconut based sauce but any dish is worth trying. To those who don't like spicy food, get the Tandoori chicken or the spinach dishes or ask the waiters to help you, and if you don't like it the first time you try, come again. Or visit another Indian restaurant; you'll come back to India's for sure. I can't recommend this place highly enough, and you can forget about the comments about the help being unfriendly. Unless you go to India's to make friends with the help, the waiters and busboys are very nice always.

    tastiest Indian food

I was surprised by all the negative reviews on the service. Maybe they're now working to turn it around. My husband and I just enjoyed a wonderful meal there last night. We found the service to be very attentive and polite. And we loved their food!

    angry staff, cold food

    Provided by

Went to their afternoon lunch buffet 45 minutes before it was scheduled to end. The food was cold, not lukewarm but cold from the steam table. The rather large staff standing around speaking in angry tones pretty much ignored us and seemed inconvenienced by customers. We were never offered drink refills, asked if we wanted anything else, to drink, for dessert, the food was removed from the steam table early. No one ever asked if we wanted anything else before they took it away so we also got ripped off. The potatoes in one of the dishes were obviously from a can, ew. Weak (i.e. cheap) spices, food was crusty, unstirred, unreplenished. Not even the manager seemed interested in whether or not we had enjoyed our experience. Worst Indian restaurant in Denver. Deal with the difficult parking and go to Little India for a far superior experience.

    Have to agree...

    Provided by

It really is a shame that their service is so awful because the food really is wonderful. I have been going to India's for years simply because I have not had Indian food in Denver that compares. I would, however, go much more often if the service didn't give me a panic attack each time from being so horrid! I would say try it for yourself and see what you think.
