I normally wouldn't waste my time with a bad review but this company is exceptional. My grandparents sold their house of 50 years due to my grandmothers failing health. It all happened quickly and the realtor basically said the Denver gypsy boys were the company they should use. Immediately following the sale of the home my grandmother suffered strokes and seizures and was hospitalized in the ICU for a week in Longmont. My mother had been storing many of her possessions in their guest bedroom and my grandmother had verbally told the gypsy boys to let her remove her things. Once she fell ill and we had to start communicating with them, we found out how rude and disrespectful they are. They did not address the fact that we were going through a family crisis, did not cooperate on getting us the contract, and even though (in writing) my gra father handed all responsibility over to his children, they haggled and harassed my mother when she tried to retrieve her OWN belongings. They acted like they owned the house, put a lock on the garage, and mocked her. In addition to that, when she went over today to get more of her possessions, they were FOR SALE! Now onto pricing- my grandparents spent 30+ years buying and restoring antique oak furniture, as well as collecting antique glass, brass, pictures, anything and everything. It is an understatement to say they know antique furniture. These swindlers are selling their items for less than a third of what my grandmother would have sold them for. We saw huge refurbished antique oak tables with clawed feet going for $150. This has been a horrible experience for the whole family and a devastating way to remember the end of their lives in that home. This company seems to be used to dealing with the deceased as they have no decency. We are from New Jersey so if we feel these people were rude, you can bet they were. Don't waste your time and energy with such a backwards company- and be sure if you go to one of their sales you know they most likely screwed someone over in the process.
