    WORST PLACE EVEEEEERRRRR!!!

    Provided by

I feel the same as the last post-watch your money!!! You'll get ripped off from the cover charges-liquor prices, and then NOOO parking-so when Vinyl has taken all your money, you leave to find that your car has been towed-another $260 charge!!-I'll never go there again!! And of course they feel that is not their responsibility! Sure have a club, but don't provide public or complimentary parking.

Pregame if you plan on going to the vinyl !

    Provided by

On fri sep17, 2010\r \r I have been to the Vinyl three times, the first two were fine, the last time I went my buddy ordered an Incredible Hulk, most places charge $8 to $10 for this drink, club Vinyl seems to think they can get away with charging $16, the last place we went we were charged $8. That is double the price of anywhere else! This isn't Vegas and if it was then they wouldn't even charge that much. On top of that my other buddy was slipped a ""roofie"". If you plan on going to the Vinyl watch your money and your drink because you'll be screwed over on both if you don't watch it. In fact just don't even bother going there are plenty of other clubs that will take much better care of you.

Hide your cash, cover your drink.

    Provided by

Or just go somewhere else. I've been to Vinyl twice now. I went once years ago and swore I would never return after my purse disappeared and the staff didn't bother to help me find it. That led to a really enjoyable week of canceling credit cards, getting a new license and student ID, getting new keys made, etc. Awesome. I decided to give it another shot. Whoops. This time, only my wallet was snatched, so I suppose I should be grateful, except for that someone decided it would be hilarious to roofie my drink as well. So I only remember about half of a bad night, I guess that's a good thing? Thanks Vinyl, for a truly humiliating night and the really classy crowds that frequent your creepy, booze-stained floors.

Vinyl is a good overall spot certain nights better than others

There seem to be many conflicting reviews about Vinyl... First I'd like to clear One thing up... If you are going to dog club Vinyl and want to send a strong message don't include "I recommend you go to the Church instead" as part of your review because the Church and Vinyl are both owned by the same person "Regis" All you are doing is sending money to him via a different route.

My personal point of view of Vinyl is they have good nights and they have bad nights, it all depends on what you are looking for. Vinyl and Church are both known for bringing in great electronic DJs and Hip Hop DJs like DJ Craze, Miguel Migs, Diplo, Kid Capri, Qbert, etc... But you have to realize this also means on certain nights they don't have a consistent DJ that plays everyweek . On other nights the DJs are more local, and on some nights the club actually rents out part of the club to private parties that bring in their own DJs.

I've attended several of each of these kinds of parties. The DJ Craze event was one of my favorites he totally rocked the crowd and killed it on the turntables. There are a few nights wher I have been left very unimpressed by their DJs, their crowd control at the end of the night or by their bar staff, and other nights where they do everything perfectly and their DJs are on top of their game.

The Breakz Party (the one people were talking about somewhere on here with the breakdance competition) was a great overall party, loved the DJs on that night, DJ Chonz was doing his thing, DJ Emir was killing it with hot remixes and DJ Sound Supreme warmed up all the breakdancers with some great breaks and oldschool hiphop. This was a great night with the rooftop completely packed out and great music that differed on three floors with house music on the first floor, techno breaks on the second and Hip Hop and reggae on the third floor rooftop. You don't find that kind of diversity at many Denver nightclubs.

Now if you visit Vinyl on another night you might not get the same experience. Many times they only have two floors of music running with the top floor usually feeding a music downstairs to the second floor as well so you wont have as much diversity in the music. Especially on a night like reggae on the roof thursdays where despite the name of the night, the music is mostly Hip Hop and does not vary from floor to floor.

My point is, you can't judge any club based on any One night in particular. granted anyone that has a bad experience will most likely not return unless they have also had a good expreience in the past. So my advice to all nightclub owners is to make sure your entertainment is top notch and make sure your staff, bartenders and bouncers all understand that treating your patrons well and providing great entertainment is the golden ticket to longevity in the nightclub industry.

    Watch the news!

    Provided by

Regas Cristo should be ashamed of the legacy he had left by soiling this beautiful city with this garbage. The entire neighborhood needs to be cleansed of this type of club owner. With any luck, the Denver City Council will move to have this ""gangbanger haven"" shut down as a public nuisance. Since so much of the criminal activity that goes on at Vinyl is done by off-duty Denver cops, there needs to be an investigation in the department as well. How many patrons have to be gunned-down before someone acts? How many innocent residents of the neighborhood have to sleep on the floors of their apartments to avoid the hale of bullets that this joint generates each weekend?

    What's People's Problem?

    Provided by

okay so my homegurl and I recently took a spontanious trip to Denver for the weekend. We are really into the bar scene at home but we don't have any actual ""clubs"" and so we really wanted to experience what it was like to be in an actual ""club"" and a friend of mine who drives up to denver all the time recomended it. I was a little nervous cause of all the bad reviews I saw here. We went on a saturday, It cost 15 dollars a person to get in, yes very pricey. But I was expecting that. We got in to the club and it was amazing atmosphere!! We were shocked how big it was. I don't know what people are talking about 15 dollars a drink. It cost us 7 dollars for two budlight bottles and 12 for two mixed drinks. More expensive than home but we are in a 1000 times better place. The bartenders were cool and the people were nice we even made a friend there who took us out to eat afterwards. We had a great time. The view and the setup on the balcony was especially nice but in our experience, the hip hop floor is where the party was. Maybe cause that's just our kind of music and it was PACKED. People were already backin it up on the dancefloor at like 9:30. We enjoyed ourselves and we definitely are going to go back.

    little girls

    Provided by

Not only the the women who enter this building are dressed like wh*res, the dancers who work there are also. The dancers bodys look as if they were 12, no shape to them or any signs of puberity. Also pack on the make up, not very appealing trying to be hot, while looking so young. Except for the occasional 40 some year old body builder who dances there. This is a great opportunity for perves to come in and watch almost unclothed little girls dancing. These same perves take their pictures and sometimes take pictures with them! These girls can't dance but try to dance like amature strippers, and often will take your dollar bill if you offer it to them. These girls are a joke, if you want to see real classy women dancing maybe try the church but that isn't a big step either. Actually dont try any where in colorado.

    I LOVE THIS CLUB

    Provided by

THIS CLUB IS AWESOME. I GO HERE ALL THE TIME. SATURDAYS ARE THE BEST NITE TO GO. THERE ARE TONS OF PEOPLE, GREAT MUSIC, AWESOME BARTENDERS, AND A VARIETY OF PEOPLE. I RESENT THE FACT THAT SOME PEOPLE THINK ITS TRASHY OR THAT THE PEOPLE THAT GO ARE TRASHY. THEY JUST DON'T LIKE IT BECAUSE THOSE AREN'T THEIR KIND OF PEOPLE. BUT HELLO, OTHER PEOPLE LOVE IT. YEAH IT IS A LITTLE PRICEY BUT THE MUSIC AND DANCING MAKE UP FOR IT. GO AND TRY IT, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT OKAY BUT HEY AT LEAST YOU CAN SAY YOU EXPERIENCED IT.

If your under 21 dont go here

    Provided by

Worst club i have been too, alot of trashy looking people. Bunch of drunk 40 year old men trying to dance and making fools out of them selfs. We went on a Friday night and the music was all old-school hip hop that non of us had ever heard before. The dance floor was half empty and the downstairs had maybe 10 people.. \r \r So to sum it all up, listen to the reviews here and don't go to Club Vinyl if your looking to have a good laidback time. \r \r Go to the church, Or purple or Bash....Really just a waste of time and money at vinyl

    Customers? Who?

    Provided by

Are you kidding me? I was charged $15 for a top shelf drink. Is this the airport? They need to give their door guys some Zoloft. They could deal with their crowds better if they had the smallest bit of respecct for them. Thanks for the reminder of why I don't come to places like this.

pretentious prices for a thug club!

    Provided by

for a club that allows any trash in the door (criminals, eminem wannabes, idiots, white trash, icky women, drugged out morons, etc), they seem pretty happy to charge $10 a drink for bottom shelf liquor served by snobby, unimpressive bartenders who ignore you all night regardless of how good your tipping has been. bouncers act like they are guarding the gates of some hollywood hot spot and seem to hav e no problem in being rude or completely sexist. i was allowed VIP, not my boyfriend. who would put up with that? this club has gone completely downhill since the roof caved in from the blizzard a few years back...it's not even the same .

    It is what it is.

    Provided by

This is the best place to go to see international DJs on Saturdays in Denver. However, going to Vinyl is definitely more an adventure compared to other less rowdy nightlife spots in Denver. So, be sure to ready yourself to deal with some trashy people, expensive drinks and all the other possible negative things that were mentioned in other reviews. On the positive side of things, Vinyl gets unique/interesting world class DJs on Saturdays and their sound system is incredible. All in all, there are some good points and some bad points, it is what it is.

Abusive bouncers and cops!!! DO NOT GO HERE!

    Provided by

I was in this place less than 45 minutes and got beat up by the club bouncers and the police working for the club. im a 5'1, 100 lbs female. i had 2-3 cops abusing me on the floor and hurting me while i was screaming and crying from the pain. they handcuffed me and threw me on the ground. then they tightened their fists hard on the cuffs bc i was yelling that they were hurting me. they placed their knees and feet on my back and pulled my arms up by the cuffs to hurt me even more and pressed and banged my head on the concrete. this is not the only time this happens here. look up the ""allen kerford"" story on google. they beat up my friend too and then took us to jail. these people are pigs. what kind of threat can i be for the bouncers and cops who are trained to deal with gigantic men involved in extremely violent situations. they're are bunch of abusive pigs!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! You'll be giving your money to violent abusive a-holes who get satisfaction from hurting people.

Great dance club, expensive drinks, way too hot & crowded but a lot of fun!

    Provided by

I've had some great nights at Vinyl and some mediocre nights at Vinyl. Being a big fan of the dance music scene & a DJ who has played at Vinyl, it's better than most of the clubs in town. The sound system is KILLER (designed by JBL specifically for Club Vinyl) if they don't have it cranked up so loud that distortion from the speakers makes your brain hurt and you have to scream at your friends just to ask them if they want another drink. The drinks are well mixed but priced too high and I've always run into familiar faces here. If I'm not on the VIP or guest list, I usually avoid the place because the cover charge is usually un-reasonable considering how much they charge for drinks. Next, the rooftop patio. LOVE IT! Great view of downtown Denver and very chill. The sound system on the rooftop is at a perfect volume. You can enjoy the music and still hold a conversation with your friends. The electronic music scene at this club is fabulous! I highly recommend you check out the talent Sonus Drum & Bass has been bringing out on Fridays lately. Definitely worth checking out!

    Be careful

    Provided by

Hmm, after reading some of the reviews here, I suspect they are authored by Vinyl staff/ownership.\r \r I have been to Vinyl on about 4 occasions, both before and after the blizzard crushed the roof (I like it a lot better before, BTW). \r It does seem to have gotten pretty ghettto lately, and the last time I was there a guy put soemthing in my drink which left me completely incapacitated by the end of the night. Yes, I was drugged- but I don't think that was the club's fault. (DANGER, girls! This can happen anywhere!) Also, there is some weird angled construction in the decking on the upstairs patio which can cause you to trip pretty easily by the bar (it's dark and they don't have good floor lighting there).\r \r That being said, they do get some good djs on occasion, the bartenders have taken pretty good care of me (loving Lexie, so friendly!!) and I have had fun dancing there. I don't think of it as a classy place, though.

    Not worth it!

    Provided by

This place is overpriced, you can get better drinks for a better price at Charlie Brown's down the street. 4 floors, yet play the same music on all 4 floors. Lots of trashy people. Plenty of better clubs in Denver for the money. Steer clear of this one!

    Best Dance Club in Colorado!

    Provided by

Any customer that bad mouths this Club most likely got kicked out because of drinking underage, causing drama, or just isn't up with pop culture. I have been to the Loft, the Mint, Boulder clubs, even Las Vegas, and New York City Clubs. This Dance Club is the best that I have seen. Bringing top DJ's like John Diggweed, Crystal Method, and even Tommy Lee from Motley Crue. They even had a girl on girl wrestling match on Sunday. The place is always being remodeled, adding lighting effects, and projectors. The patio is the nicest in Denver. What a great view. If you want to experience night life this is it or The Church which is just a block away and an actual Church. Tip the hot Bartenders because they'll hook you up. There is one girl that straight up looks like the girls from the movie Sin City. Main nights to come to Club Vinyl are Thursday and Saturday's. Saturday the club always has thousands of beautiful people dancing the night away. I have even seen break dancing competitions. This place is like Studio 54 from New York City. It is kinda pricey but hay it keeps away the cheap skates.
