If you are looking to move in to the Lodo area please listen when I tell you DO NOT move in to the Westend Apartments it will be the worst decision you have ever made. First they offer 2 months of rent for free to get you in the door, they show you a beautiful apartment from afar but when you get up close the craftsmanship is very poor, there is paint everywhere, drafts and leaks that makes it so you can't even use your heat properly, splinters and screws all around the cheap ikea cabinets and stains on the vinyl floor and quartz counter tops that maintenance has been up to "take care" of 5-6 times, the carpets are not set properly and the sink continues to leak. The internet wiring is poor I pay for 125mb for internet and get 40mb cable company says its common for this building.There are consistent sewage leak smells in our building, not a hallway,elevator, window or door has been cleaned since move in 2 months ago, snow removal is a joke there is ice and snow lining the streets for 2+ days after a snow storm. It is embarrassing to bring guests and family to visit we have been opting to travel instead of bringing guests to our home and we pay $2000 per month for our rent.I have been in contact with management who has given me an ultimatum to leave under their terms while waiving their lease break fee but asking for the full $4000 in concessions to be returned to live in a place that 1500$ a month would be to much for. Management is extremely unprofessional I have been working with Tom who I can't help to feel has been extremely pompous and unreliable, I feel as if he acts like the issue matters but when it comes to response to emails, problems with the property execution is always a miss.Politics play a great part in the leasing office as from what I have been told upper management and the leasing managers are personal friends and that is why nothing gets done.Rene, Yessica, and Marcos have been nothing but helpful from day one and have tried to accommodate our issues as much as possible but a team is really only as good as their quarterback. If you tour this property please stop and ask the first resident what they think about the Westend Apartments I sure wish I would have, I guarantee you will hear a similar take on my review.Management please look at your West End Active building survey your answers are all there. I have also heard that management incentives residents monetarily for their positive reviews. Perhaps they will monetarily incentivize me to take this one down.
