I can't remember having a worst pizza.\r the crust has the taste of a flavorless pretzel, unsalted\r what tomato sauce is there (very little) has less taste than\r something out of a jar.\r The meat they call sausage is ground hamburger of\r poor quality.\r The cheese, i couldn't find or taste any\r The pepperoni was paper thin and tasted like\r pressed bacon chips\r I think the mushrooms where of a frozen type, possibly\r not thawed before making. \r In fact i think the entire pizza was premade frozen with slight\r alterations to fit the customers order\r \r If the pizza was just cheap, I might be able to find a time when \r it might be suitable for consumption. To add insult to the experience\r the pizza is high priced and tables did feel greasy as mentioned in\r a review I had read. \r \r Thanks, and what do you want on your tombstone,. It will taste better.\r chicago, out

I was born in Colorado and have eaten at Beau Jo's in Idaho Springs many times after skiing. The pizzas are WAY overpriced for what you get, the service is SLOW and the pizzas have a HUGE rim of crust that ends up being a huge ripoff. \r \r I went there with a friend once, and we weren't very hungry, so we shared a small pizza. Well, after waiting about 1,000 years, they brought out this tiny pizza that was LITERALLY 2/3 CRUST with a small ring of cheese and mushrooms in the middle. I SWEAR the cheese center was about 5"" in diameter, and the crust rim was about 3.5"" wide, rendering you one 12"" wide pizza with VIRTUALLY NO PIZZA IN THE PIZZA, all for about $12 before tax and tip. \r \r I WAS SOOOOOOO ANGRY, because I hate being ripped off. \r \r Bread is cheap and topings are expensive, which is why they scam you with pizzas that are mostly crust. \r \r Much has been made of the honey-on-the-crust issue on this forum. Well sure, it tastes good, but for th price of a Beau Jo's pizza you can get about 4 loaves of good bread and a big jar of honey at the supermarket and eat that to your heart's content.\r \r Beau Jo's is ALL HYPE, period. Old Chicago makes WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY BETTER PIZZA.

i love the idaho springs location, nothing like spending the day there and eating at beau jo's . I lived in denver for 3 years until moving to WI last year (i grew up in chicago).\r i really like the unique pizza, yeah the crust is thick but it is yummy. crisp and great when dipped in honey. they also offer feta as a topping which is my favorite! i wish they had one here because i would love some right now!

This place is my husband's favorite. The reason is the honey whole wheat crust which is healthy and very tasty. This place has a variety of pizza to satisfy food allergies and choices. The vegetarian pizzas do lack some flavour though, I am already sick of eating her. If one has kids though it looks like a wonderful place since they make fabulous balloons!
This used to be a place for good food and they had a killer lunch buffett. The last couple of times I was there the pizza left a lot to be desired.

We just moved here from Long Island N.Y. and went because a coworker said it was good. Big mistake! I can't believe they call that pizza. It wasn't even as good as Cici's and was a little more than twice the price. I still have indigestion and just wanted to write this before I forget. The pizza was very greasy and the soup and salad bar were a joke. Also my husband, 2 and a half year old and I all sat and waited to get a waitress for almost fifteen minutes and my son was whining most of the time, which because the place was sooooo noisy, no one really noticed. I'd suggest Cici's over this for people with kids and limited budget, this way you actually get dessert and can refill your own drink without waiting all night.

Went there because of the gluten free menu. The place had kind of an odd layout and was 1/3 full when we got there. Nonetheless, none of the staff could seem to keep up with the business. Sure they were understaffed, but management should have been able to anticipate it. Our waiter was a nice, young guy but we had to wait for everything, and I had to chase him down to get my check and pay it. The pizza was pretty tasty, but I had wings and the stuffed mushrooms. Yes, that was a mistake not getting pizza in a pizza restaurant, but definitely stay away from both. The mushrooms didn't have much flavor. There should have been more cheese and less of the creamy sause that was in them. The wings were tepid and soggy.

This resteraunt was so much fun and my family and I enjoyed this so much, dipping the bread in the honey was so delicious! They have so many choices and their pizza was to die for!

The pizza was very good. I like the idea of being able to order a small pizza and it will feed more than 2 as well as being able to add honey to your crust and eat it later...mmm mmm good.

For those of you who grew up in another city like Chicago, New York, St. Louis, Los Angeles and others you probably will be surprised what a Beau Jo's Pizza taste like with all the local hype. To some I would say, ""Save you money"" and take a clue by the bottle of honey sitting on each table which you are suppose to use to finish eating the dry, fat, crackery rim of crust. For seasoned pizza individuals you will find Denver is a hard place to find a good pizza. Denver Style Pizza ...no thanks and it is true...and the good news is that no one else comes close to making a pizza like this

Of course anyone who wants the real Beau Jo Mountain Pie Experience hies up I-70 East to Idaho Springs where the madness began and where it continues. GO THERE. EAT IT. YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME. You get to choose the crust material, I recommend the whole wheat. Load on the goodies, they're top quality. After the pizza proper is scarfed, eat the crust with the supplied honey. It is that good that you won't want to leave a crumb.

For years, BJs has offered the best in traditional and altenative pizza style. There's nothing even close to it.

The pizza is about 50% bread. The toppings are good but i don't like paying big bucks for pizza dough.

Uckk's rating anaal retentive...This must be a woman who doesn't know a good pizza if it kicked her in the behind. Beau Jo's Pizza is one of the VERY BEST pizzas in the nation, not to mention Colorado. The Pizza is piled HIGH with ingredients and toppings. Their best crust in my opinion is the ""Honey Wheat"" crust. It is so thick and rich that at the end of your meal, the establishment gives you honey to dip your remaining crusts into as a dessert! No beating this pizza. If you will notice the review by ""Anl Retentive Uckk"", hshe didn't even mention if they liked the pizza. Just that the service lacked. I wonder if hshe would even get hisher own water if dying of thirst. What a moron! If the food is good, who CARES about the service???

Excellent pizza place! Lots of toppings piled on the crust of your choice. My personal fav is the Mountain Pie which has a nice thick crust, served with honey on the side to dip the crust in. The pizza is not greasy like most pizza places and has a very fresh flavor.

I went to Beau Jo's over the summer because I had heard it was good and I had a coupon. When we got there I was fine with it but then it got worse! The food was cold, the pop was flat, it took about 6 months to get 1 cheese pizza and the salad bar was almost empty. I don't suggest this to anyone!

The novelty of having NO sauce on your pizza is vastly overrated and last time I checked that was called cheese bread. The sauces they do have are not particularily tasty and there is way too much bread crust hanging on the edge of the slice. Someone please go to Pizza making school! Or at least study under some pizza makers in Chicago or New York!

In my opinion Beau Jo's pizza is the best pizza place in the world!! Their chicken pizza is to die for!! I would recomend their restaurant to anyone..

The pizza was good, but the restaurant was pricey and crowded. The tables were too close together to be comfortable.
