Apollo Operating, LLC ( "Apollo" ), a Colorado limited liability company, is a Denver based energy, oil, and gas exploration and development company primarily engaged in aggressive oil and gas property development in the Rocky Mountain region. However, Apollo pursues energy opportunities all over the continental United States. Apollo is owned and operated by a Denver energy professional.Apollo was originally formed in 2001 under the name Apollo Energy, LLC, at which time Apollo had six ( 6 ) partners and was primarily a land acquisition firm with the goal of generating quality geologic oil and gas prospects for resale. A notable project under Apollo Energy is the sale of properties in Colorado's Piceance basin targeting Williams Fork gas to Noble Energy, Inc The project was sold in 2004 and has over 150 productive gas wells drilled on the properties to date. Another notable project under Apollo Energy is the sale of over 180, 000.00 acres in the Denver Julesburg basin targeting shallow Niobrara gas to Teton Energy Corporation. This project was sold in 2006, was repackaged by Teton, and now has over 100 productive gas wells drilled on the properties to date. Various other projects inclusive of the aforesaid led to Apollo Energy's success. Ultimately, the partners in Apollo Energy went their separate ways. However, one of the original partners of Apollo Energy had a desire to carry on and take the success to another level...OPERATIONS ; hence the name change to Apollo Operating, LLC.The principle of Apollo wanted to start operations in a basin close to home with low risk and a repeatable drilling program. In order to further lower the risk factor Apollo teamed up with another operator ( Blue and Gray Energy, Inc ) and drilled its first well in Colorado's Wattenberg field North of Denver in the first quarter of 2006. The joint venture between Apollo and Blue & Gray culminated with the sale of all joint venture assets to Great Western Oil and Gas Company, LLC in June 2007 ; Great Western is a division of Broe Group.Since the sale to Great Western Apollo has continued its drilling operations in the Wattenberg field on its retained assets, has an active land acquisition program, and is drilling new wells in the Wattenberg. Apollo has also broadened its exploration efforts to the Central Kansas Uplift where over 40 prospects have been acquired with drilling operations planned to commence in the first quarter of 2010. In addition thereto Apollo considers its self an ENERGY company and is exploring alternative energy projects and energy service projects such as our waste water disposal facility in the Wattenberg field ( the "Apollo 15-18 I" ) ; the facility became operational on November 4, 2008.
