Worst DMV experience ever. ...

Worst DMV experience ever.



I am a Plano resident, but to schedule my cousin's test little early we scheduled it in Denton (It takes 45-50 days to schedule drive test online).



Experience:

-Test was scheduled at 2:20pm

-We got there are 1:00pm as it gives us ample time.

-Got to the check-in counter, she looked at our paper work. Told us we will have to pay 11$ as our paper was expried. We agreed. She handed us a number (number was 617). 614 was already showing up on the board so we kind of expected to get called soon.

- There were around 35 people already waiting and only two counters open. Both ladies working (chit chatting... making fun... loud talking ....etc.etc..) at the speed of turtle walking.

- We waited till 2:00 ad they just had finished with (615) number.

- Oh I forgot to mention the 3rd counter window was opened somewhere between 1:15 and 2pm but that didnt do any good (Guy was more arrogent and was talking very rudely to everyone as if he was doing favors).

- We got called to the check in desk and they assigned new number to us(it was a number that is called "special attention" number).

- Now after 1 hour and 25 minutes of wait (standing...), we were called at the desk.

- Lady at the desk (as rude as possible). What are you here for?

us: Drive test

Lady: show me your document

US: here you go mam

Lady: your paper has expired and there is a new procedure from last week that you have to prove your residency status, and here are the document we accept. You will have to come back and reschedule your drive test.

US: Mam, we were not aware of the new law that got implemented last week as we scheduled this appointment 45 days ago. And the documents that you need, I can give get it to you in 10 minutes.

Lady: Sorry, I cant do anything, you will have to reschudule as it is already 2:30pm and you are late.

US: LATE!!!! HOW ARE WE LATE??? WE WERE HERE AT 1:00PM and we have the document that you need. Please give us 10 minutes.

Lady: LEt me call my manager

Manager: Sorry sir as it is alredy 2:30 and you dont have your documents we cant help you. You will have to reschedule it.

US: Rescheduling means, another 45-50 days.....

Manager: Sorry cant help you.

US: this is crazy.. We waited for more than 1 hour... you could have asked us to get the documents in the first place and we could have just run to the car and got it.





Also forgot to mention, they got the 4 window, a lady sat on that 4th window for almost 20 minutues doing some stuff on teh computer (slowly clicking), looked as if she was playing solitare. She didnt care that people were waiting in line. They were indifferent.



I have never seen just indifferent bunch of people, including the manager.



We pay taxes and we deserve better!!!



PS: Went to plano DMV, they have 11 windows and 9 of them were running and all of them seems to be doign there job.

Experience at Plano DMV was 100 times better compare to Denton (not exaggerating)
