Overall

I have been going to Skid Marks for the past two years after getting shafted by tire kingdom. The employees make a point of being friendly and their service has been very good. Both my vehicles now ride on Skid Mark tires. They call with the progress and the prices. No surprises.

Skid Marks Tire Pros in Denham Springs (formally Firestone Tire & Auto) have been taking care of my vehicles since late 2007 - early 2008. I live in Plaquemine, LA and every time my vehicles need servicing or repairs, I make the drive to Skid Marks in Denham. That is how good their service is and that is how good their mechanics are. I have a personal relationship with these guys and that is important to me. My truck has over 215,000 miles on it and my SUV has over 250,000 on it; both are still driving strong, they are dependable, and they are mechanically sound. Skid Marks prices are very honest. The service is quick and dependable. I trust and highly recommend Skid Marks in Denham Springs.

Never fix what it's brought in for

Three times my vehicle has been brought to this place and both times the vehicle still has issues. The first time was to fix the cooling fans. They replaced the fans and we ended up having to have the fans tightened because it was loose. The second time was because the radiator started leaking shortly after bringing it there, surprise surprise. So we replaced that. Now today brought it in for tires and shocks and to check a few things. They messed up on basic things. And the shocks aren't on right and are clanking like crazy

The 5 star rating in this review must be from a relative or a friend of Skid Marks. I have been bringing my Company vehicle to the Denham location for the past year and have seen the customer service getting worse. No communication when I drop off the vehicle and I have to keep calling to get updates. They will also do minimal work and you have to bring your car back to resolve the problems. For example, I brought my car in for a tire rotation and to check out a tire noise and to repair something that had come loose on my rear bumper. I made an appointment to drop the car off at 8:30 AM. When I called around 3:00 PM to check on the car(because they don't communicate with you) they said it still hadn't been looked at. I got my car back around 4:30 and as I drove home, the car was pulling badly to the right and the bumper was not fixed. I called about the tire pulling to the right and they said to bring it back on another day to re-rotate the tires. After wasting more time waiting for them to take care of the tires, they said if it continues to pull to one side, it could be a bad tire, but they didn't have time to check it then. My original visit was to have the tires checked for defects, but obviously they didn't have time to check it at that time. They want me to waste another day with them. The tire is still pulling to the right, but Im going somewhere else from now on. I would advise staying away from these people. While I was waiting on my car, I saw 2 other people that had come in for re-work on their vehicles. I also intend to advise my Company against bringing in any Company vehicles for repair. Very disappointed with place.

Great Service!!!!!

Had a blowout on my truck and looked to find a tire quick. Saw the reviews of this place and Kinda made me gag I had to go there since they were the only ones with my size in stock. All I have to say is afterwards is I have no clue what the other posts were talking about!!! Those were the nicest and most honest group of guys I've had to deal with buying tires. I dealt with the owner Mark and I never had any issues and it went pretty quick for the amount of people in there. They didn't try to get me to buy the extra bull all the other places do. No complaints and will return!

Horrible service!!!!

I went there to get a plug put in a tire. Simple enough right? Wrong! They took over an hour and a half, copied down all my info wrong, didn't do anything I asked of them. Like check the pressure in the other tires on my truck. Almost broke my spare tire holder! And were RUDE through the whole ordeal. U will never go back! -Brian K.

TERRIBLE service. The staff was incredibly rude to me and very disrespectful! They didn't do their job when I asked them to do a check up while they changed my oil (which took an hour and 40 minutes when there were only 2 cars before me). My car ended up getting a leak with the coolant the VERY NEXT day after I asked them to change the oil and do a check up. I couldn't even go down the street without it possibly overheating. They refused to acknowledge it, refused to look at it, and told me they were going to tow my car if I did not take it off the property because I was taking up their customers parking places!! The manager/owner Mark actually said that to me!!! DO NOT go to here, ESPECIALLY not the one in Denham Springs on South Range, that is where this all occurred.

If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. I took my car into the SkidMarks on Range in Denham Springs on Tuesday, July 23 for an oil change and while they're at it to check the fluids. On Wednesday, July 24, the very next day, my car's check coolant light came on. My boyfriend waited for my car to cool to add more coolant and water into it so that it wouldn't overheat. I later tried to drive to work, when the light came on again, and added even more water to it once it cooled. Long story short it still overheated even though I put about a total of 4 to 6 gallons of coolant and water in it. I've NEVER had a problem with my car overheating or even coming close to it. So I took it today, Thursday July 25, back to the SkidMarks on Range in Denham Springs. I told the man named Mark (who appeared to be the man in charge) about my problem and that it's never occurred to my car before. He immediately went into defense and claimed that they had nothing to do with it. He took my car to the back, had a mechanic look at it, came back in about a minute saying that it was leaking (I could have told him that). He was very rude, parked my car diagonal in a handicap spot (I'm not handicap) and told me he won't fix it basically because I accused him of messing up my car when I got the oil change, which is an accurate assumption since my car never had a problem with coolant levels and leaking and overheating before I took it there. Anyway, he contradicted himself multiple times, he threatened to tow my car. He was VERY RUDE and would walk away while when I'd ask him questions of how my car would get that way and what was causing it. DO NOT GO TO SKIDMARKS UNLESS YOU WANT NOTHING BUT DISAPPOINTMENT AND TO BE TREATED LIKE A WORTHLESS CUSTOMER!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR QUALITY SERVICE, DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WILL WAIT WAY TOO LONG FOR ANYTHING (I had waited for 1 hour and 40 minutes for the oil change and there was only 2 other cars in front of me getting their tires rotated/oil change). I DO NOT recommend this place, especially the one on Range in Denham Springs.
