Welcome to Deming Health Center. Presbyterian Medical Services (PMS) is the successor to the United Presbyterian Church's Medical Mission work in the Southwest which began in 1901. In 1969, a New Mexico based 501C (3) nonprofit corporation was formed to ensure continuation of the mission to provide health care services to the underserved communities throughout the southwest. • Throughout our 40-year history, PMS has worked collaboratively with communities, local providers, hospitals, local, state, and federal government to develop programs and services which meet the needs of the people living in these communities. PMS only expands to communities that invite our involvement. For over 40 years PMS has been a leader in improving the health and quality of lives of the people in New Mexico. PMS operates 34 health centers, and provided over 250,000 outpatients medical, dental and behavioral health visits to over 55,000 New Mexicans last year. PMS health centers provide a significant contribution to the safety net for New Mexico's healthcare delivery system. When possible, PMS provides medical, dental and behavioral health services in the same facility and creates a continuum of care which spans across healthcare professionals. PMS school-based health centers are seen as model programs throughout New Mexico. PMS has been awarded accreditation by the Joint Commission. Accreditation by the Joint Commission signifies achievement of the highest standard of performance in the industry.
