The YMCA of San Diego County is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of youth development and community education programs. It offers various sports activities, such as basketball, gymnastics, hockey, soccer, softball, swimming, baseball, football, tennis, volleyball and T-ball. The organization also offers several after-school programs that include homework assistance, tutoring sessions, games, arts and crafts, snacks, and performing arts, music and drama classes. The YMCA of San Diego County additionally offers scuba diving, cardio kickboxing and muscle conditioning activities. It provides temporary shelter and counseling services to runaway, homeless and troubled youths between the ages of 12 and 17. In addition, the organization offers adoption services and conducts parenting classes.
