Brenda's Birds

Amazing place with an amazing young man that is a Bird Whisperer!! I've been bringing my Green Cheek Conure Charlie to this wondeful Bird Paradise for many years. I rescued a beautiful Sun Conure "Big Bird" and I bring him to Brendas also so Rob can clip their wings and trim their nails. Oh there are plenty of places much closer to me, But its worth the half-hour drive each way to visit this unique place. Rob is so very caring and gentle with the birds/parrots and is totally hands on, I don't think I've ever been there that he wasnt behind the counter or tending to some of the birds. Brendas has a nice variety of bird food, cages and too. When I went away for 8 days I brought my 2 parrots to Brendas knowing that they would not only get attention but enjoy their stay and remain happy.

If you are looking for a hand-raised bird....from McCaws to finches to parakeets to english budgies this is the place for you. A hand-raised bird is the only type to purchase. They are used to the human touch and more loving. As with any bird, they need constant attention, talk to them, play with them, and never ever ever leave your doors open when you have your bird out of the cage and never ever ever leave a cup filled with any liquid in it around as the bird can try and get a drink and fall in and drown and never sleep with any type of bird...end result will be death. Children can benefit from birds but under supervision.One last thought: IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR BIRD AND LEAVE IT IN THE CAGE 24/7 WITH NO CONTACT....DO NOT BUY A BIRD. IF YOU ARE BUYING A BIRD JUST BECAUSE IT'S DIFFERENT...DON'T BUY A BIRD. BIRD PEOPLE ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE TO PURCHASE BIRDS FOR WE KNOW HOW FRAGILE AND IMPORTANT IT IS TO TAKE GOOD CARE OF THEM.
