If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This company is a family run business and treats you as such. The apartments are spacious, clean and pet friendly! Management is very responsive and has amazing customer service. Maintenance is prompt and extremely efficient. This company is the best apartment provider in all of Delaware.

We currently rent one of the TownHomes with LRE. I fell in love with our place from the tour and have always felt at home. It is very spacious and whenever we needed any maintenance if ever lol they always took care of us. LRE has always been so amazing with us and I am so thankful to live at our home with a business that truly cares and doesn't just see you as money. I recommend all of my friends to them everytime, Thank you all so much!

We just moved in about a week and a half ago but we already love it here, quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors, convenient location, great price (we were surprised at how affordable they are!) and the apartment is perfect for us and feels like home. Sam has been great to work with. I'm really happy to be here! We plan on staying here until the day comes that we're ready to buy a house.

We are extremely happy with our choice to rent from LRE. The place is well kept and the price is extremely fair... and the people running this business are pleasant and helpful. I will never rent from big corporate owned business again. These people know how to treat good tenants and are local to do so... not in California like most the complexes in Delaware.

LRE has outstanding service. When I moved it it was very clean and kept , I have a busy schedule and Sam was willing to meet with me after their normal operating hours to make sure my question were answered. I would recommend LRE to anyone that is looking for a place to call home.

Very friendly and accommodating. My apartment was very clean moving in and had new carpet and paint. My friends wish they had known about LRE when they first moved to Delaware.

LRE is the best kept secret of Delaware! I had searched high and low for a nice place with an affordable price and just when I thought I was out of luck I found them! Don't judge a book by its cover, for not being new apartments, the place was nicely and newly renovated! The office staff, especially Sam, were super helpful, supportive, friendly and professional. I have and will continue to recommend them to anyone looking for a place in Delaware.

Long Real Estate are really amazing! They are a family run business that has served the Delaware community for many years. My apartment had fresh paint and rennovated kitchens and bathrooms. I was impressed by their small town friendliness and the charm of the apartment complex I live in.

I had a good renting experience with them until I moved. All I can say is to make sure you document the apartment when you move in and have a walk through before you leave. They tired to charged me $1000 for a carpet replacement in 1 bedroom apartment - mind you the carpet was crap/unclean when I moved in and the material was cheap; not made to last. Plus it was a 1 bedroom apartment, the space was tiny, and the fact that they tired to charge a gross amount for replacing a poor carpet to begin with speaks very loudly about the kind of business they do. Long real estate will try to rip you off for all they can!

I have to say that I was surprised to read these one star reviews, and then realized that if they only have a couple complaints out of hundreds of tenants, that is a pretty good track record. I rented from them for 5 years and just recently moved out because we ended up building a home. I have never had any issues whatsoever with them. They were always prompt at returning my calls and fixing any maintenance issues that I had. They were always pleasant and nice whenever I called or went into the office. When we moved out, I did not expect a full refund of my deposit as I did have pets and wear and tear, I did my best to make sure it was clean when I left, and they were prompt in mailing me what I did get back on my deposit within a couple weeks. I would highly recommend renting from them. They have been nothing but professional.

I made an account just so I could leave a review. I feel like I should warn people about these money stealers. All they do is raise the rent send out new rules constantly. It's very difficult to talk to an actual person on the phone as well. They just have fees after fees. When we moved out, they didn't give our deposit back and charged us $600 for "damages". It may not have been to their standards when we moved out but seriously?! $600?! They are rude and don't explain anything to you. The owner is a jerk and I feel like they are just stealing your money. Only once I have had a good maintenance experience. The maintenance just shows up and let's themselves in if you don't come to the door in time. They don't call to let you know when they're coming. It's just a hassle and they are not helpful. I called multiple times about the dryer being broken downstairs. They never came to fix it. They don't upkeep the property. I was very upset when we moved out. Very disappointing place to live. I suggest staying far away from these jackholes

If you want a great place to rent from, and a place that cares about your safety and needs, than DO NOT EVER rent from Long Real Estate. The apartment manager is a joke, and could care less about your problems and when you call with a concern, she gets an attitude with you. You can not get a direct person when you call, instead you must leave a message and hope that they decide it is important enough for them to get back to you. I have had to threaten escrow several times in my residency in order to get maintenance repairs done, and they will try to charge you for every little thing they have to fix! They treat you like cash cows, and they only enforce lease policies that benefit them. The landscaping is overgrown, the gutters leak and cause huge issues in the winter on the patios! Plus they raise the rent and send notice, however the notice time does not coincide with the amount of time you must give them when you decide to leave!!!! My advice, steer clear of Long Real Estate Properties and look elsewhere! You will be sorry if you do stay there! If I could give this business no stars I would

Long and sons real estate will completely rip you off every chance they get. The staff is rude and typically I have to leave 2 or 3 messages before someone will call me back. They have lied to me on several occasions and will try and make up things to charge you for. They only accept payments by mail and they tried to charge me $300 in fees claiming that my checks didn't arrive to them for over a week after they were mailed. I pointed out to them that even if there was some mysterious black hole in Delaware swallowing up my payments to them, that my lease states that if they are postmarked by the first of the month they were considered on time. They claimed that's not what the lease said. When I showed it to them, they backed off the fees. So now I send all my payments to them by certified mail so I can track them and have had to use that information to prove to them that payments don't, in fact, take a week to get there. In addition, they will try to change the terms of your lease and tell you that it's just a new policy. Sorry, it's a signed lease, it doesn't work that way. They also do not maintain their properties. They are dirty and overgrown.

They never answer maintenance calls. Their homes have bugs, no door locks, smoke ditectors, owners cuss you out on the phone when we called with questions. There criminals.
