The only No Kill Animal Shelter in Volusia County was founded in 1955. IThey went No Kill in 1999. The place is definately not modern. They rely on 501c3 IRS tax deductible donations. They do not get government funding. They do have a strict adoption policy. They get condemed for that. But when you are looking for the forever home for an animal, why not? If you had to leave your furry one there wouldn't you want them to be strict?
The place is old, but it is clean and the worker love the animals. The animals get walked several times a day. There are many citizens that come in and volunteer their time to walk, brush, keep company with the various types of animals.
