Stay Clear of the ""DIB"" (Dearborn Italian Bakery)
Recently I walked into the Dearborn Italian bakery with high hopes, of good service and food. I walk around the store observing items, which are in lack, personally looked like the items have been outdated for some time. Anyhow, I walked up to the counter to order some pizza, she wasn't polite.
Later in the week, I returned to the bakery with my application all filled out, and the owner, whose name I won't mension, greeted me there, and told me to come in for an interview two days from then. I went in for the interview on time with a nice outfit. I was then escorted up to the owners office where he went on to give me some speech on how he takes care of his employees, and he opp. a fair business, and then offered me the job.
Day Two. I was to scrub the walls in th kitchen this day with another employee. As I did so the other employee has his bucket of soaps and bleach all over the preparation counter in the proximity of other foods, while the cook is throwing in some pizza and bread. I was appauled at how this is being run. There is bleach on the dough flattener, soap and chemicals on the prep. table where food is being prepared and made.
Later in the week, I was called and told that I would no longer be needed for the job. WTF? I was just hired from this boss, who told me he took good care of his employees blah blah blah, and I worked hard for him, and now im fired??! Well, thats it, I decided to come on here and share with u their secrets, and the negatives of the so wonderful ""DIB"".
Next time you think you want pizza or bread, or any convenient store item, don't go to the Dearborn Italian Bakery. The floors are dirty, there might be chemicals in your food that you don't want in your body! And the workers are not required to wear gloves when workin with your food! And the management and owners are not fair to their workers. Very unethical. Beside the point, their food is flat out grosse.
