I had an excellent experience at JoJo's Salon. My appointment was with Chrissy for a haircut and color. She was prompt to greet me in the waiting area at my appointment time and we talked about my hair expectations for this service. I wanted my gray covered at the roots with some highlights throughout. She brought out a book of color swatches to match my natural color and we picked out the lighter color too. She colored the roots and foiled the lighter color with some of the root color through and explained what she was doing as i have never had it all done at the same time before. She made me comfortable with some magazines to look at for the cut and style as i processed for 35 minutes. She washed the color out put a toner on my hair at the shampoo bowl, she explained that she was taking the extra step to ensure the highlights were going to be a pretty tone throughout my hair. She then washed and conditioned my hair and we went back to the chair for the rest of the service. I had picked out a cut and style from one of the magazines which she said that would look good with a few adjustments to flatter my face shape and styling routine. She cut and styled my hair and told me what she was using so that i could repeat the style at home. Overall i had a great experience and would recommend Chrissy and JoJo's Salon to others.
I called to make an appt for 2pm. Arriving at 2pm a walk in arrived right before me so they sit her down abd star working on her. While the other technician started on me. Then at 230 a lady with an appointment walks in with a request for my technician. So left with my hands soaking for 30 minutes while she starts on this lady. Then comes and put my tips on. And then leaves to go back to the other lady. Im waiting on the other technician to be done with the walk in before my appointment to finish me. So he still isn't done so by the tine she finished with the lady after me she comes to start trimming and shaping. Then the other guy finished with the walk in before my appointment so then I get to go to the other technician. I arrived at 2pm and I needed to be in Huber heights by 4pm. I didn't leave until 430. Had id known it would take 2 1/2 hours I would've come a different day and that's why I made an appointment so it wouldn't take that long. So then I get to let my nails dry for 30 minutes cause I was already an hour behind schedule so now the polish looks bad. But since they are going to fix it for free tomorrow I guess is alright?
I have been going to Platinum Nails & Tan since they first opened behind Sam's Club about 5 years ago. They moved to Kemp Rd a while ago. I love going there not just to get my nails done but for the way they treat me. The speak english which is hard to find in a salon that is not over priced and stuck up. I have never walked out disappointed or unhappy with there work. I work in retail, and am always getting compliments on my nails from male and female customers alike. Its a comfortable place to relax and get pampered. The have a range of services, nails, tanning, waxing, eyelashes, pedicures. Check them out you won't be disappointed!
