    This veterinary clinic did something…

This veterinary clinic did something that I never thought I would see.

We were traveling from Canada (we are snowbirds that stay in Davenport for a few months in the Winter each year) and had an emergency with our dog.

We were worried he was dying from bloat/twisted stomach. He had been vomiting significantly and has a history of peritonitis and eating foreign objects.

We went to the counter stating our emergency to find a terrible receptionist. She told us that the vet would not even look to see if it was an emergency.

She told us that we should come back tomorrow when she had an available appointment. TOMORROW. Our dog would have died.

What kind of people would do something like that? No one I would trust with our pet. We did find another clinic. The other clinic actually performed immediate emergency surgery on him. And they stayed late that night to ensure he was okay.

If we had waited till the next day as the Clermont Animal Hospital South had asked... he would have died. It makes me sick thinking about it.

DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR ANIMALS.

Terrible people. Once of the worst clinics I have visited.

The only Vet we will use!

We've been trusting the care and health of our fury kids since 1999. We started out with the unpleasant business of putting one of our pugs to sleep. Everyone at the clinic was kind, compassionate, concerned and professional. A year later, our youngest little girl contracted a rare blood disease that took nearly 5 months to diagnose. Each step was explained and the goal outlined and potential costs discussed. These folks have always been fairly priced while providing real quality. Dr's Robinson and Karcher did not give up on our little girl until the problem was identified and a treatment plan implemented. Together, they saved her life and because of their knowledge, ability and concern, she is a happy ole lady, today. We know every one of the technicians and office staff and have never had a bad experience. I've been to many veterinarian hospitals and none compare with the cleanliness, technology and good people you will find at Clermont Animal Hospital South. Today we have 5 fury friends that depend on us to be there and make good decisions on their behalf. Fortunately, we have great partners helping us navigate through all the options to select the best treatment plan for someone we love. We truly appreciate this team and highly recommend them to everyone we know.

First Class service from start to finish…

First Class service from start to finish! Over the years we have been to many different Vet Clinics and this hospital is by far the most professional one yet. It was obvious to us that our pet came first and they asked a lot of questions as well as answered all of ours too. For a busy hospital like this one we were surprised that both the Vet tech and then the doctor spent so much time with us. This hospital came highly recommended from some of our friends and we were not disappointed. It is very rare to get this kind of service at any business anymore!

    Very Clean & Professional!

    Provided by

We have ""several"" dogs that are just like children to us and we are very particular about the care they receive. The staff and doctors at this hospital are the best we have ever been associated with. All the receptionists are courteous and professional and know who we are as we walk in the door each visit. This hosptal is very clean and does not smell like others we have been to in the past. The Vet Techs and Doctors are very friendly and knowledgeable and they are always interested in what we have to say and have even given us a tour of the hospital and shown us all the equipment they use. Overall we are very impressed with the level of care our dogs receive and they like going there too!

    Do not go there !

Do not go there ! We had gone there for several years when they started to charge thru the nose. One of the people working there, Eileen, has a real problem with the truth. She lied to us on more than one occasion. She actually wanted us to believe that the Federal Government said that in order for them to give our puppy a rabies shot she had to be given an exam. I mean it is fine if that is their policy, just tell us that. But for crying out loud do not lie and make stuff up.

    Bad people all around

    Provided by

These so called Doctors are nothing but a bunch of rip off artists. PERIOD ! We had been taking our animals to them for a couple years and we started to notice the prices kept going up and up. The last straw was when Eileen lied to my face about Rabies vaccines. Trying to explain why it would cost $100 for a Rabies shot for a puppy. The next and last time was when I was quoted $77 to put an older dog down. I got there with the dog, visibly upset at what I had to do. Then Eileen comes in to the room with a bill for $230 !!!! I guess they figured I was not going to walk out, but I did !! She lied to me then as well telling me that the $77 price was to leave the dog there for cremation. Why would it cost less to cremate the dog ?? I walked out and called them back, Eileen answered the phone and had an attitude of what seems to be the problem. Anyway I am going to call back when someone else is there. I am not sure they are aware of this price gouging that seems to be going on. I feel it was very low to try and take advantage of someone at a time like that !!

    Caring and Knowledgable

This is my first time posting and I just had to let everyone know that the people at Clermont Animal Hospital South are wonderful! \r We moved to the area four years ago and had not been successful in locating a good vet. We tried so many in the area and no luck. My dog got sick and I tried another new vet (it was an emergency) and he did not listen to us and kept telling me she wasn't that bad. I knew better. I was on the verge of calling my vet in Jacksonville (where we moved from and I would definitely recommend him to any and all) when an acquaintance said to try Clermont AHS.\r I called and made an appt, they saw her right away when I explained how severe it was. They took wonderful care of my baby and were so thoughtful with me and considerate of my feelings. They are my vet in this area now, I take all of my babies there!\r

    Great experience all around

    Provided by

We moved to the area about two years ago and our regular vet is now an hour away. When my lab developed an ear infection, we decided to try Clermont Animal Hospital South, since it's only 10 minutes away. The staff was GREAT and I loved Dr. Robinson. My Lab didn't like car rides before this vet visit, but was so excited to go back for his follow-up. He completely fell in love with Dr. Robinson and the staff (they kept telling him how sweet he was). My dogs are my babies to me and I definately feel confident bringing them back here. Thanks!
