Dr. Stokes is an excellent equine vet. He is very knowledgable and does a lot of teaching for you the owner while he is attending your horses.



He always comes day or night to take care of my sick horses.

Dr. Katy Portwood is the best! She has a wonderful "bedside manner" and I know that she has my dog's best interests at heart. She has never tried to push unnecessary services on me and I appreciate that she is respectful of my financial limitations. Her assistants are knowledgeable and caring. I also like that Dr. Portwood is aware of her own limitations and would give me a referral if a situation arose that she was not comfortable dealing with--in short, she doesn't have the "God complex" that many other vets have. I would recommend Hendricks County Animal Hospital to anyone!
