Vermilion Hillcrest Animal Hospital is outstanding in its treatment and care of our loved pets...
Dr Jill Bair is by far the most compassionate and caring Vet I have ever had the pleasure of knowing...Her caring for our dog Katy was outstanding and by far going above and beyond, to save her life...2 operations in a 24 hour span just to mention the most impressive...One can not find a more caring, compassionate, and warm Vet to attend to your precious and loved animals...

I have been using Vermilion Hillcrest Animal Hospital for over 20 years and have always received great care for my pets and great service from the staff. Dr. Jill Bair has been our vet for many years. She started with Jax, our diabetic dog who was a huge challenge to stabilize on Insulin. Her knowledge and guidance aided us in prolonging his life for several years and more importantly, giving him quality of life. When we got our new rescue and found him to have multiple health problems, she got him started right away on a plan to improve his health. He was a happy dog and we attribute a lot of this to the care she gave to him. She didn't hesitate to recommend we see a specialist when she felt it was necessary and would help his condition. When we lost Apollo, she was there to help us deal with the loss by answering questions and helped us through the grieving process. Dr. Bair took care of our cat, Puddy, who developed a sudden back condition that left his hind end paralyzed. We thought it was the end but she treated him and within weeks, he was running around like normal. She aided with surgery on Syd's leg, who is again able to run and play. Syd loves Dr. Bair and doesn't mind going to the vet at all, even if she has to get shots! Dr. Bair continues to care for our dog and three cats with compassion and a high level of professionalism, tact and enthusiasm. Ethan, Kristin and Karen are all wonderful as well. The whole team treats us and our pets like family. I couldn't ask for better care and would highly recommend this clinic and staff to everyone.

Dr. Jill Bair is a very passionate and caring individual. She has help my whole family in many good and bad situations with our cats and dogs. She isn't afraid to give things to you straight and the company is always willing to help financially if needed. The dr went as far as finding a new puppy for us that would suit our needs as a family. When our cat was really ill she monitored our kitty through different trials of medications so we could fix what was wrong with her. Dr. Jill isn't afraid of dealing with the worst possible situations with animals as long as their owners remember that she is doing her job and is helping them out of bad situations most of the time. Not to mention the countless hours she puts in being on call and tending to emergencies while her family is at home!!!!! My opinion is very clear, you will not find a better vet to deal with, period!!!

I was a customer at Vermilion Hillcrest for twenty years, Dr. Richards did a very nice job with my two Boston Terriers Hank and Brother! When Dr. Richards retired Dr. Jill Bair became the vet at Hillcrest, and she incorrectly said that Stony my Boston Terrier had Lyme disease, so for several weeks I made Stony take medicine that he could not stand, and his condition worsened! Finally I figured out that something was wrong, and I called Hillcrest, and took Stony in to see Dr. Bair, she acted like his life was worth nothing, and I asked her to please help him, she said to me that medicine does not work that way! I then took Stony to the University of Illinois vet school, and the vet team at the vet school pulled out all of the stops to save Stony's life! He returned home, and did pass away five days later, but I had five nights of time with my Buddy to say good bye to him! Dr. Bair told me the night I was there with Stony that she could not stay there all night! I have to rate Dr. Jill Bair as the worst DVM that I have ever dealt with in my life with dogs, and I have had dogs all of my life!
