When it came time to re-rug our 3 bedrooms, stairs, and bath, we got quotes from Home Depot, Luna, Empire, and Pelletier. Pelletier came in at $1000 to $2000 less than all of the other quotes we received.
When the rug we ordered was out of stock, preventing us from moving into our new house, they automatically upgraded the rug to the nicer, more expensive rug at no additional cost to us. They were flexable in coming to meet us at our house, with sample any time we wanted, and the installers were professional.
Since then I have had them put rug in another room, and they are coming back to put new flooring in our other bathroom, and to fix the rug my new pup ate off the stairs. I don't bother looking anywhere else now.
The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because this is my 3rd time using them, and 3rd time I've had to call them to schedule the install. Otherwise, they are great!
Their carpet remnant room is FANTASTIC. We got a top quality wool remnant that was $1600 less than the normal price for that carpet. It was installed the same week, and our bedroom looks absolutely great. Just about $1000 for a top quality WOOL carpet including carpet, padding, and the installation. No one else had anything that even came close in looks for that money. The home centers are a joke unless you want your house to look like garbage.
Even though Pelletier was not the least expensive price I received, I chose them because they were local and I thought they would have more control of the promises given. It took 3 weeks to complete 2 bedrooms, a hallway and a flight of stairs. They gave excuses of "the rug came in damaged" and "we made a misake in the measurement". The working crew came on the morning promised and tore up the old capet and mat, and installed the new mat. They promised to return the next day to install the carpet. When they didn't show up, and didn't call, I had to call them and they informed me that the carpet came in damaged and had to be reordered. After the carpet was reordered, they came to install it (approx. 1 and 1/2 weeks after the original date), and wasn't able to complete it because they didn't have enough carpet. A week later the rest of the carpet came in and the job was completed. Meanwhile, I was without the use of 2 bedrooms and had to put myself up in a hotel because the beds were dismantled and the furniture was grouped into 1 room. After many complaints, all I received was a "sometimes these things happen". All I can say is BEWARE.
