We've been very pleased with Winters' Bros since they took over from Thomas Refuse. I only wish they had sent out a holiday schedule so that we'd know when they were closing so we didn't have to guess. Other than that they've been great.

We love the bins. We're recycling so much more now, It's great! Our trash volume is a fraction of what it had been before. If we can recycle that much of our household waste then we can make a difference in the environment.

The customer service and management is horrible. Been waiting 3 days past the scheduled pick up day for the trash removal. This is just another incident in a long list of bad service.Calling them is useless they just give you a stupid song and dance story and the manager never gets back to you even after leaving multiple voicemails and emails. If the owners were smart they would immediately fire management and start over!

I was Winters' Bros customer untill 2013. I switched to SDS for better service and price. SDS sold their customers to Winters' Bros in 2015. So I am back again with Winters' Bros. They sent me the new bill covered 2 months ahead and I did pay them all. This week they did not pick up the trash and it has been 10 days already. I call everyday and they keep saying today but nothing is done. Are they trying to penalize me because I canceled their service before? I hope they do not run their business like the mob.

I was in my car in Patterson NY. I was behind one of the truck when all of a sudden the truck started to back up on top of me. I honked the horn and the driver got out and started yelling at me. If this is what the company wants representing them good luck.

, POOR customer service! I recently became a Winter Brothers customers as a result of them buying the local mom/pop garbage company I was using. Their lack of response to an issue that occurred, lack of timely follow up, and their disregard for customer service is astounding. I am no longer using their service. I do NOT recommend this company.

Beware of their auto renew in the contract! They require you send notice to them by way of certified mail before the contract is over. If you do not they will threaten you with legal action.



Their service is consistent and they do their jobs. Just take note of their unethical behavior.

Winter Bros is a big step up from the last company I used. They've been helpful and careful with my requests. I ended up paying less with them that the previous one. They provided two large cans (trash & recyclables) more space than I need. Nice helpful people when you call. Use the autopay system. Overall, this is a total upgrade from my last service and I'm pretty happy about it.

I am a new customer and had my first pick up last Friday. I did not have enough trash

to put the can out, so the driver took the time to come to my door and make sure I knew it was my pick up day. The office had called me so I was aware, but the driver

did not know this and was concerned. To me this was above and beyond his duties....I don't think there are many these days who go this extra mile. I am so pleased with Winters Bros., the company and drivers are providing excellent service.

I couldn't be more pleased.

I, too, had an experience with a foul-mouthed driver who yelled at kids at the bus stop for being in the way of his truck. The kids moved, he passed, and then I yelled a few words about his mother. He was all fired up after that.



Of course, now all my neighbors think I'm a whacko for sticking up for their dumb kids who were in the road anyway (my kid was on the side of the road). My neighbors don't even wave 'hello', don't even acknowledge my (or my family's) existences; blackballed, ostracized. Welcome to CT.......the new New York.

Let me first start by saying I created this account just to write a review on this company. Well I was being driven to work and around a corner was a recycling man (who was wearing no safety vest, crossing the street in the early morning). My driver goes to pass him slowly and apparently that upset him and rattled off many expletives which we could hear through the closed windows. It looks like this employee was fresh out of prison and I have never encountered such a low class company in my life. I though we were suppose to have a change with the news owners.....well it appears its the same low class cheap company that has always been in place. I am guessing the hiring process is not the most strict because at any company if a customer is verbally assaulted they would be fired instantly (not the first time as I consulted with my friends in surrounding towns). All-American, Country Disposal(Ridgefield) and the rest appear to carry some sort of standard. They have all been courteous whenever I encountered them on the road. I wish I was able to get a tag number on the truck, but sadly nothing will be done so it would just waste my time. Instead I hope this review will caution any people using this company, I would not want one single employee within 400 yards of my family or estate. btw good luck to the person whose house he was servicing, you will have a nice walk to pick up your thrown recycling bin!

Friendly, friendly professional phone service. Clean Trucks. We are very happy with this switch. I didn't get the gentleman's name, but I had to talk to him about a dumpster and he was so accommodating , I couldn't ask for more!..

I actually just signed on with...

I actually just signed on with Winters Bros. specifically for the reason that they have finally brought single stream recycling to this region. The new automated trucks do pick up both recycling and trash - but they are separated out so no one should be concerned that their separated recyclables are being mixed with the trash because that is not the case. I hope that everyone in this area will use this company as they really understand how important recycling is to our environment.

I just fired this company on their first pick-up. The truck pulled up grabbed the trash AND recycling bag and through them ALL in the trash hopper. Why do I spend SO much time cleaning out bottles and cans then putting them in clear blue bags just to see them ALL go in the landfill?
