General Info

The Department of Water and Wastewater Resources, located in Daly City, Calif., is responsible for the management and operation of drinking water supply and wastewater treatment systems. The department offers plumbing repair services, as well as installs water sample stations. It provides wastewater services to more than 120,000 residential and commercial customers. The Department of Water and Wastewater Resources also offers preventive and corrective maintenance of the sanitary wastewater mains. The department provides on-going inspection services for buildings and tanks that make up the wastewater treatment plants. It also offers established safety procedures, such as confined space entry, fall protection, hazardous gas monitoring and use of personal protective equipment. The Department of Water and Wastewater Resources provides education on wastewater collection, treatment and disposal, and stormwater pollution prevention through presentations, activity books and tours to school students.
