I have been attending guitar classes at ScottSound music for several years. The classes are one-on-one, so learning is tailored to the individual. This makes learning in my opinion faster, and mistakes in technique are quickly spotted and corrected. My instructor Bevy has a degree in music and really understands the nuances of the subject; this coupled with the fact that she is a darn fine instructor. Some people have mastery of a subject or profession and do not know how to import this knowledge to others; however, Bevy really has a fantastic instruction style, very much in pace (I wanted to say in-tune, but that would just be such a bad pun) with a student's capabilities and learning speed. But best of all, if you do not understand a certain technique and just "cannot get it", she has a fantastic way of teaching you how. This has been a HUGE help, and is probably the best part of taking lessons, you REALLY learn something and can improve every week. I cannot say enough good about ScottSound Music, they are flexible with class times and scheduling, they are really nice people who love music and their price structure is fair. That and they will also pair you up for playing with others in a band or ensemble, which is vastly important as a learning tool. All-in-all, a great experience. ScottSound Music is highly recommended.

I bought my daughter a 2006 Toyota Corolla from here and I would go back to buy another in a heartbeat! They treated me excellently compared to Sports City Toyota, Toyota in Richardson, or Vandergriff Toyota. And they're a family owned and operated business! Both the father and the son were very nice and professional. I spoke to the son over the phone, explaining to me things I needed to know and answered my questions honestly. Before buying the car, I asked to bring it to Toyota of Dallas for a through check up. They had no qualms about it since everything was in excellent condition! I bought the the car and when the transaction was over, the dad offered to drive the car to my home so long as I took him back. What a wonderful ride back that was! I highly recommend this company. They're an outstanding establishment and fantastic people to deal. One thing's for sure, I know where I'm buying my son his car!
I have been a guitar student at ScottSound Music for more than 10 years and have taken lessons from both Bevy Boyer and Scott Whitfield. As an adult student, I knew they'd need teaching methods that were different from those that work for kids and they have both been able to help me despite all the distractions and interruptions that come from life as an adult with job, family and home responsibilities. I enjoyed my individual instruction but have really had fun with the opportunity they provide to learn and play with other adults. I'll never be a professional musician, but that's not why I wanted to learn guitar. I wanted to have fun and to get a chance to do something artistic and creative - and they continue to help me realize both of those goals.
