I've eaten here both in groups and alone and never been disappointed. One minor gripe with most sushi restaurants is the turn-around time between ordering and food delivery...Sushi Zushi has it figured out. I have never waited more than 15 minutes for my sushi order, and it generally arrives in under 10. They have a variety of specialty house rolls, but I generally stick to the traditional favorites here. Their Unagi is exceptional (I get it every time and eat it last, it's like dessert [although not sweet, don't be mislead]). The Spider roll is top-notch, and the roe they put in their roe offerings is very well-chosen with great flavor. If you're something of a sushi conneisseur but dining on a budget, you can get 3-4 orders for about $30. When I dine alone, I generally get 3 orders (rolls/sashimi) and walk away only $22-23 poorer (I order water). It's a shame more people don't know about this restaurant because the storefront isn't visible from Oak Lawn Ave., but they recently wised up and put a sign at street level directing patrons to their location behind Benihana. They also deliver sushi, although I have never ordered delivery.
This is a wonderful place to take your family or to have a get togather with friends. The Restaurant itself is beautifully designed. Unlike some restaurant's the big screen tv's have different programming on each. The staff is very friendly and polite. Nori Sushi has a very nice selection of food. My favorite was the Beef Teriyaki Dinner. The Beef Teriyaki Dinner comes with soup, a very nice portion of beef, Potatoes, Steamed Rice. The food here is top notch. I have ate at a lot of sushi restaurants in my life, Nori Sushi is problaly the best i have been to. They also offer lunch specials during the week which is also a great deal for the money. It also is a great place to have a drink, they have a very nice bar. Everybody has their own taste , but if you like sushi give Nori Sushi a try, you won't be disappointed.
Salad rolls are wonderful & fresh. Hot & Sour soup..not so sour. Pad Thai very good. Pad Thai is to Thai food what Spaghetti is to Italian food-the basic entry level dish. This is what one orders if one has never eaten Thai food before..that said, I have been eating Thai food for 25+ years..I wanted something different, when I gave my order, I was told it was not "that popular." I did NOT want popular, I wanted tasty & different.. So I ended up with the good old basic, Pad Thai. Prices are very reasonable. I hope when I go back I am NOT dissuaded from choosing something DIFFERENT.
