St. Patrick's is one of the least expensive Catholic elementary schools in Dallas. Because of that, and the active parent base, it is packed to overflowing capacity. Also, many parents find several other Catholic schools too snooty and not giving the aura of good values. The school has rigorous coursework, but doesn't help students who have trouble...the teachers don't have time, they need to teach the majority that can keep up. Its a tough situation, because you'd expect private school to have smaller class sizes and extra effort for struggling students, but they can't give it at St Patricks...but they don't claim to either....the administration and staff fully admit that they are a good education for alittle money, but nothing special. However, St. Rita and St. Thomas Aqcuinas don't offer anything exceptional either, and both of those schools are more expensive than St Patricks.

This small, private school in the Lakewood area is home to students from K to 12th grade. Families will find a structured, caring, community atmosphere, with very involved parents. LPS had a strong academic reputation, a focus on extra-curriculum activities, and many opportunities for all students. Several of my friends' children attend this school and they indicate that they thrive here. And I have great memories of my days at Lakehill!
I love this school! The teachers and staff are very hard workers & are genuinely excited when your child reaches goals that they have set for them. They are strict on uniforms & tardiness, but so what? Us parents need discipline too sometimes lol. They expect excellence & won't accept that your child can't do something. If this school expanded to the 12th grade, then my kids would never leave. :-) Great job Pinnacle Prep!
