This place is an adult Disneyland!

Total Wine is the Neiman Marcus of wine stores - you can find just about any type of wine or liquor or beer that you would ever need. THe prices are great, too - very competitive with the other big liquor store in town, SPec's. The store is beautiful, the help is solicitous and well-trained. I have taken classes there on everything from tequila to wine and beer, always very informative.

THUMBS DOWN! Nice prices for its Grand Opening but the managers are stuck up! They act as if you owe them something by shopping at their store. Their ad had a huge typo of $13.98 (not sure of the exact cents) for a Grand Marnier and they refused to honor it. They said it should have been $26.98 (again, I can't remember the exact cents, I apologize). They did allow you to get one at that price (ONLY if you catch the wrong price as they rung it up, otherwise, they'd keep quiet about it!) but they made you feel less of a human being and they talked down to you. It was their mistake to begin with yet I felt I stole something from them.



Plus, you barely get any help. The staff pretty much ignores you. I went there because of the low price grand opening, spent over $220 and almost returned all my purchase. I much rather shop at SPEC's which is an exit away than deal with their attitude. I'd pay more for a great service. SPEC's have friendlier staff and I enjoy visiting that store every time I go there.



I am NOT ever going back to Total Wine. Their prices are not that much different from Spec's anyhow. In fact, some of their prices are higher than Spec's. I think it was just a great deal that one time due to their Grand Opening. I was going to tell all my co-workers to shop at Total Wine but after that experience, I NEVER told any one person about it. Live and learn. SPEC's here I come!
