Welcome to El Corazon Vintage Tex-Mex where Dallas Tex-Mex was born! Noted as the ""Real Deal"" by D Magazine and nominated for Best Tex-Mex by the Dallas Observer, we've been serving up fresh Texas-accented Mexican dishes since 1955. Don't forget to come by for our Tuesday-Friday happy hour and all day Saturday as everybody knows that the Heart of Texas is on fire! Offering a variety of beverages that sooth the soul, you'll find nothing but 100% agave tequila in our margaritas! Craft beer from Four Corners Brewery, Mexican cervezas, wells or top shelf cocktails, remember to ask your server about our seasonal beverage specialties featuring local, fresh fruit margaritas. From our family to yours, we are looking forward to serving you the freshest Tex-Mex and Mexican dishes that you'll find in Dallas. It's our pride and joy and can't wait to see you.

Overall
the worst restaurant i've ever been to

awful i will never go to this restaurant ever . i use to go quite often then the food started to change so i stoped going. well on mothers day i decided to give it a try to see if things got any better god i should of gone to taco bell. well 1st let me say that we had a waitress that didnt even give ok service we had to get up for stuff had to wait on refills and i ordered a beef taco dinner that had a huge piece of rock in it well i just took it out and didnt make a big deal about it. well then we got our ticket we were forced to pay the 18% of a party of 5 . well when it was time to pay i went to the front to go pay and the cashier asked if everything was ok and i said yes because i'm not the type to complain. well i said "yes" then i said in a polite way " let me ask you a question do you add 18% on parties of 5 or more" and she said "ya we do" so i left it at that and i said "thank you" then i went to sit down. well when we were leaving i went to the table that the cashier was at and i put the rock on the table and said " do me a favor and give this to the chef let him know that it was in my taco" and i couldnt belive what happened next the rude cashier told me "wel you should of told your waitress" and i said " well she was never around so i'm brought it to you" and she said well thats not my problem and from ther it just got worse. oh my god i can belive what happened. bad customer service bad attitude bad food bad waitress and bad manager.he did nothing to make it better he just said " well it over i cant do anything now" WHAT OMG that why the restaurant was dead on mothers day. i run a rest. that my mother ownes and that is no way to treat your customers.i will use this story and tell ALL my friends, family and customers about my expiriance and encourage them not to support that awful restaurant. i hope this has helped you if you are a newbie thinking of going to this awful awful restaurant. i hate saying this but the only good person there is / was ( i dont know if he is still there ) the older gentleman that wheres a bow tie he is just so nice thats the only reason i gave it a try knowing the food was bad

Overall
Mexican Food

Tejano's has a "Juarez" on the menu that will fill you up. Has enchilada, beef taco and cheese taco and guacamole. Chips and sauza is the best! Not far from downtown Dallas, and fast service.
