    Great food and service

    Provided by

I have eaten at Taverna dozens of times over the past four or five years. I have always received great service and consistently good food. The value is good and the bar area is nice (but a bit small). I'll be coming back time after time!

solid choice for italian in dallas. probably one of the more consistently good lombardi owned places in dallas. we always have a decent meal and the atmosphere is always builds an appetite.

    absolutely love it

This place is really good. Weekends, bottomless Mamosas; the best time to go. The breakfast Calzone is my favorite, I am a regular visitor.

    Perfect Date Spot!

    Provided by

I have been dating in Dallas for over a year now, and Taverna is my all-time favorite restaurant to go on a date! Whether you are looking for a cozy, romantic place to take your significant other or looking to impress a first date, look no further than Taverna. The food is incredible (the risotto is to DIE for!), the wine selection is great, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is unbeatable! Located in Uptown, you'll be close to several great bars for after dinner drinks (assuming the date goes well). Get there early if you don't want to wait for a table - seating is limited. But trust me, it is well worth the wait!

Good Food, Good Wine,Good Atmosphere,Fair Service

    Provided by

Cool spot with good Italian food.Pizza was thin crust with fresh and unique toppings, very good with our wine. My recommendation is to go easy on the toppings or the crust will be wet in the middle. Small restaratunt so expect to wait but I think overall worth it. I will definatley go back. I do agree with the person below about the ""snooty service"" though. The bar tender was too cool to tend bar I guess.

The best European style bistro in Dallas!

    Provided by

I love Taverna! The excellent food and hectic vibe reminds me of those really good neighborhood bistros in London, Paris and Rome.\r I eat here as often as I can. My good fortune to live close by really pays off when I visit Taverna. Alberto, keep up the good work!

Snooty service outweighs the decent food

    Provided by

Went for the first time on a Saturday night before the crowds came. The atmosphere is quite cozy - it can get loud though and tables are close together. Pizzas have creative toppings and a thin, crispy crust - recommended. The service left something to be desired. Although we were seated promptly (there was no wait), the customer service ended there. Both tables next to us, that were seated well after we were, received their food before we did (all of us were parties of 2), and actually left before we had ours. Not only did it take a long time to get our food, but our waiter never returned to ask how it was. If the service had been better, I might consider returning. I just don't feel like paying for food that is ok and for waitstaff that could care less if I was there.

    What a pizza!

    Provided by

Mama mia what a pizza! I Love love love their pizzas! I ate there three times last month! I usually get the margarita pizza, but the last time my vegetarian friend wanted to try the eggplant. I have to tell you I was shocked! I LOVE the eggplant too! It was sweet and crispy on top of the cheesy soft pizza. What a combination! I usually don?t like eggplant so I thought I was just going to pick it off ( big smile) , I ended up asking for more and the eggplant pizza is now my favorite! They have nothing bad on the menu! Try it all! I love the chopped salad at lunch too! Yummmmy! Go go go NOW!

    Yummy Italian Cuisine

    Provided by

I went to Taverna the other night with some co-workers for happy hour. We got a table and ordered this pizza-like bread dish in which the bread was dusted with a cheese and you could dip it into this delicious oil mix. We also split a pizza and a mozzarella salad. The food was fantastic and the service very quick. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting. This would be a great place for a romantic dinner for two. I can't wait to try out there deck area when the weather gets warmer.

    terrific food, service, ambiance

Taverna is a spectacular, fun to visit Italian restaurant. The risotto is a must have--all of the flavors. The quality is superb and the taste matches. We have been there 3 times and every time enjoyed it even more than the last. Nightly specials are unique and delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant.

    Best gourmet Italian in Dallas

    Provided by

I LOVE this restaurant. Taverna offers inventive dishes in a beautiful, unpretentious atmosphere filled with gold and scarlet tones. It's a smaller place with intimate little tables - great for a date - but the high ceiling and clean decor makes it feel airy. There is a small patio out front for nice weather dining. Must try: bruschetta, appetizer pizza, Gorgonzola ravioli with pears arugula (you'll be surprised) and risotto with wild boar.

    Sunday brunch

BOTTOMLESS, yes I said BOTTOMLESS mimosa on sundays. Oh and the pizza is fresh and tasty. Got the margarita pizza and it came out HOT fresh from the oven with fresh crusty bread. Just da ways I likes it.

    Great romantic spot

    Provided by

Love going here on a weeknight woth my boyfriend. The food is AMAZING and the wine list is not overpriced at all. Sometimes we just go in for a glass of wine and order the steamed mussels they're to die for! The only drawback is the crowd on weekends, it's too small and so loud when there too many people.Defintely go in during the week for dinner, it is so worth it, and romantic too.

    Best brunch in town hands-down!

    Provided by

Taverna of course has a great dinner (especially the fish specials and the parmesan and truffle oil risotto,) but did you know they have an outstanding brunch menu as well? The menu includes some italian favorites like a breakfast calzone, but it also has a fantastic belgian waffle (not so italian,) yummy bennedict, and BOTTOMLESS $5 Mimosas and Bellinis!!! You have to try... it knocks the socks off of Breadwinners!!
