Had lunch there today with co-workers. The only good thing I can say is the chips and hot sauce were good. The service was poor. The lunch special was chicken enchiladas and the chicken tasted OLD. The outer crust on the stuffed jalepenos was so tough you couldn't bite through it...had to use my knife. This place has the right atmosphere, but the food needs a lot of improvement.

Friendly service with Fresh food! I order delivery and my food is always warm and fresh. I order the soft cheese tacos and Chicken Burrito with the yummy cinnamon sopipias from Sol's. Sol's is the only place I reccomend here in Downtown Dallas, for the food is affordable and always fresh!
All I can say is there shrimp soup meal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Try it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Food is good and reasonable on price but other than that it was a dissapointment. Deep Ellum is so dead that I think the servers and bar tenders are half asleep while working. Service was not terrible but the staff had bad attitudes. They also knew nothing about a ""free queso"" for mentioning City Search. They had never even herd of city search. My advice is find another place for Tex Mex unless your in Deep Ellum already . Mattitos, Mannys,El Ranchito,Mias are all top spots with excelent service.

Visited Sol's during a trip to Dallas. While the food was more than average, it was far outweighed by the rude attitude we received from the bartender, Laurie. It was like we were interrupting her evening by coming into the bar for food and drinks (we were the only people sitting at the bar). We were polite and respectful from the beginning and throughout the time we spent there. But what we got was kind of a ""locals only"" vibe -- and Laurie sure had the energy to be nice to her friends and off-duty co-workers seated at a table in the bar. Our advice: skip it. Or, at least DON'T sit at the bar.
If you haven't been here you have to. It has the best food and the atmosphere here is the best. It's right downtown so you can't miss it. The food is out of this world.

Fantastic food! Wow, I didn?t even know this place was here. The front is very unassuming. You walk in and it's really a large roomy place....they have great art on the walls, a juke box so you can listen to what YOU want and a FULL bar ( if you want a drink, they have a fantastic happy hour) . It is also great for kids since it ?s soo big and kid accommodating on the menu from tex mex to a great burger! Try them today, I would call it Tex Mex COOL at it's best. Wow what a cool place :)

Sol's has the best Tex-mex food in town! It's one of the few remaining businesses in the Deep Ellum area. Every time I go there, the food is consistently great. Sol's has never disappointed me. It's a great environment. I had their smoking fajitas, and believe me it was worth my money. I would recommend this place to everyone!

There are at least 4 other tex mex restaurants in Deep Ellum but man lemme tell you what this one has got to be the best! Sol's is a cute eccletic lil' place with a bit of an artsy flare mixed with jukeboxes(yes they have 2) atmosphere and several flat screen tvs... \r the food is a blend of classic favorites... enchiladas fajitas burritos and more.... i had the Guiso de res .. an amazing blend of a spicy beef stew... served with whole beans rice and tortillas.... if your into spice i say check it out... my date had the Pollo Relleno... a huge portion of stuffed chicken breast with veggies and cheese and topped with a sultry ranchero sauce!!! also amazing!!!\r WOW!!!! SOL'S really knows how to serve up some great food.. cool neighborhood feel!
