Just left this restaurant and ...

Just left this restaurant and am very disappointed in my experience. I made the mistake of thinking that kids are welcomed everywhere and I have two. I took both of my daughters to this place for brunch. Well my 20 month old was not as cooperative as I would have liked and did some screaming and fussing while we were there. Once the restaurant had taken my money, the manager (I assume) told me that one of the patrons made a comment about the noise, which was not constant. At his comment, I gathered my children and the other adults we were eating with and we left. I do not think that the manager should have even brought this comment to me since it is a public place and there is no way to control the noise level of children or adults for that matter. I let the manager know that we would not be back and let the patron know my thoughts as well. I am not sure if the area of Dallas is not familiar with families, children, or what. There was one other family there while we were, but I guess they left before someone commented on their kid. Really I am shocked...this has never happened and quite frankly I feel like once they got my money, they were ready for me and my kiddos to leave.

Most Unhappy Food Experience

I just went to Penne Pomodoro to have an early dinner with my boyfriend. We went there because the reviews said it was good. Only two out of seven are displayed by the way. When you first walk in the atmosphere is calm and inviting and it smells great, just like an Italian restauraunt should. Ny boyfriend and I ordered a cup of mushroom soup for starters, and we also got some bread wich is complimentary. The bread had a huge black, hairy mold spot on it. This is not good. So I push it aside and begin on my soup wich looks like grey chunky couscous floating around in some kind of cream sauce. I felt like I had swallowed a whole bottle of garlic salt. When the waiter finally came back we pointed out the bread, no apology, no nothing. Then my eggplant parmigan came out. It looked like It had been frozen then microwaved. When I ate it it was overcooked, chewy and definately not worth 14 dollars. the noodles were undercooked I was utterly dissapointed.
They have a nice open kitchen but despite the pictures you see in previous reviews there are no chefs there and no is in uniform. The cooks look like they are getting ready to go to a rock concert. No one smiles or barely talks to you, the service is poor and they were not busy. In fact we were the first ones there for dinner.
This is not an affordable place either. There were no dollar anythings. No deals like mentioned in the previous statements. My bill came out to 42.27 for moldy bread 2cups grainy soup and 2 small badly cooked meals( and that was supposedly a cheap meal)
I feel like I need to go to a clinic and get a lab analysis done.

Very AFFORDABLE! perfect for Kids or casual date

Weather they are naught or nice this holiday season, this is the perfect place for kids. I went with friends, and the kids there seemed to really enjoy the food and as a result did not seem to be loud and ?naughty?. I have come here with mine and have also come in with a date and all in all it?s a go! I mention other kids, because we all think ours are the best huh? ( big smile) Seriously, with or without, it?s good food, great pricing ( perfect for a budget night out) and great for all. Try it, you may like it !
