    really great dining experience!

Luna De Noche on Forest is a bustling place for lunch which makes it fun for office get togethers. The staff is friendly and attentive (I never have to ask for a refill of iced tea). They get the check quickly and understand business people don't have all day for lunch. BUT if you have a special occasion, like birthday, retirement, congratulatory lunch, they make you feel like your group is the only ones who matter in the restaurant.

For dinner, it is low key, wonderful atmosphere, a place you can actually talk and hear your dinner companions. There's no annoying loud music, and the tables are spaced far enough that you aren't overhearing other conversations. I eat at this location often b/c it has the best staff and atmosphere of all the Luna's in town!

    fabulous pork tacos

The food and service are superb at this Luna De Noche location. I go for lunch with girlfriends, and evenings for romantic dinners with my husband. Every person who has ordered the tortilla soup has raved about it...its ingredients are very fresh and the broth is poured over it at your table. The pork tacos that are listed as Appetiser are phenomenal....perfectly seasoned on-bone pork that falls right off...its unbelievable that this is an Appetiser b/c its my choice for best entree.

    NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was greatly disappointed with the customer service provided by Luna De Noche on Forest Lane on Saturday, January 23, 2010. Manager Roberto Montes RUINED our family dinner. We had a gift certificate for $25 that listed a condition that it had to be dine in/dinner only. We arrived at 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday. For us, that was our dinner. We have small kids and we start our breakfast early. No where did the certificate state that dinner started at 5:00 p.m. Although we ordered from the dinner menu, Mr. Montes refused to honor the certificate. Mind you we were only one hour from 5:00 p.m. You would have thought that even if he couldn't honor the certificate, he could have said, the appetizer is free or something to that effect. We REFUSE to ever go to this establishement. Again, Mr. Montes RUINED our dinner. We will never endorse this restaurant.

    Great ""date night"" spot

    Provided by

I have been to Luna De Noche several times, and am finally getting down to my review. This is a great spot to meet friends during the day, or to have a romatic ""date night"" evening. The food is wonderful, and the wait staff has always been very attentive. The guacamole is some of the best I have tasted, and is kept simple and fresh. The fish tacos (one of my determining factors for a tex-mex restaurant along with tortilla soup) are some of the best I have ever had. I definitely highly reccommend this restaurant to anyone with a taste for Tex-mex.

    Perfect for ""date night""

    Provided by

Being married for a few years now, we don't always make the time to go out for a nice dinner. Last week, we decided to go to Luna de Noche, and it was wonderful. The tortilla soup is fresh and flavorful, the fresh guacamole made to order was fantastic, and the fish tacos were amazing. I judge a place by how well they can make their fish tacos, and LdN definitely passes the test with flying colors. The atmosphere is perfect for a date on the patio, or a family get-together. The sizable dining room makes it easy to forget you are not alone.

I love the way this place looks, even the bathrooms are gorgeous!! My brother took me here while I was in town on a vacation and I have to say, it was really really great. The service was impeccable, very prompt and friendly. The food portions were generous and delicious. I had tacos and tamales which were just made perfectly and full of flavor!

    Huge Potions

The waiter claimed they had the best tortilla soup, and I must say it was delicious. I dont know if it was the best because it was the only time I have ever had it. The portions were ginourmous and everyone I was with enjoyed their food.

    Great food

    Provided by

The food is awsome, and the atmosphere is romantic, however i was really upset when they sat us next to a party of 20-25 our waiter was wating that table so we got the ignore. There should have been some better planning on the staff's part. Other than that, great food.

Best Salsa Ever Tasted, Great Service

    Provided by

We are from Houston and eat a log of tex-mex food but this has to be the best. The atmosphere is calming and the food is great. The service is 5 STAR ask for Rocky (very attentive waiter). The Margaritas will knock your socks off especially the Banana. We are here for 3 days and believe me we will be returning. \r \r We were at a peak serving time and within 7 minutes from order we had our food. yummm yumm. \r \r We would defiantly recommend Luna de Noche to friends and family. I sure hope the owner would consider opening up one in Houston (and believe me it would expand to more than one).\r \r To summarize this up ---- Its the best of the best.

    Girls night out gone right!

    Provided by

This is the BEST Mexican food in the Plano area. The salsa is so good you will want to drink it (I am not kidding!)...speaking of drinks, you can't have a girls night out without the margaritas. Luna de Noche knows how to do a margarita right! They have a fabulous tortilla soup that is light enough to enjoy before a meal. If you love your mama's homemade sour cream enchiladas you should try these...they'll beat your mama's handsdown. I must mention that the service is fantastic!!! You will not regret meeting at Luna de Noche for a girl's night out or for a date with your sweetie!!!

    Best Tex/Mex ever!

    Provided by

I travelled to Dallas frequently for business this year and had an opportunity to try many restaurants using my expense account. Of all the restaurants I tried, this is the best one in Dallas. I loved the free salsa, the tortilla soup, and their avacado salad. Everything I tried from their grill, like shrimp and chicken, was great too. The service too was superb like the other reviewers said. Even if it wasn't on company expense, this is an affordable restaurant and I would come here on my own if I was on vacation.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas

    Provided by

Luna De Noche is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas. The food and the service are very impressive and VERY affordable! I have been to the locations in Plano and the one on Forrest. I have been very impressed and seen the same results at both locations. The best things at Luna: 1. As another reviewer mentioned, THE SALSA. It is deeelicious. 2. The service is perfect. Your glass of water will always be full, you are brought your own personal salsa and they are GREAT about refilling it when you eat it all (and trust me, you will). 3. The food- my favorite item on the menu- Jeff's Fix (they have it at dinner and lunch). You may want to split it with someone. WONDERFUL meal! 4. Killer margaritas that will knock you on your A#$. :-) Have fun and enjoy my favorite restaurant!

    Awesome Affordable Mexican

    Provided by

Love this place! The salsa is the best in Dallas... you will crave for it later. Try the avacado soup for a starter, it's wonderful. I brought my family here who is spanish/mexican and they loved the food. Tex Mex is not always that great in Texas but Luna De Noche really adds more flavor in their dishes. Even the rice and beans were great. I swear by the salsa... it's really the best.
