There is a difference between your TALENT and your DIVINE purpose in life. You can either be an attorney or a gifted attorney. Ms. Ellen Schutz is a GIFTED ATTORNEY; she places herself in your situation so you can be sure you're not only getting the BEST of her skills, but the BEST of her as a person who genuinely cares. Before Ms. Ellen, I had two attorneys in which I can identify as strictly such; and truthfully I was not secure knowing that they had my fate in their hands. Prior to meeting Ms. Ellen I asked GOD to send me someone who would understand my situation and could help me financially and emotionally. She did both, and I can say undoubtedly to all of her clients before me and hereafter, It's no coincidence becoming a part of Ms. Ellen's life; its affirmation of her serving her DIVINE PURPOSE. Thanks for what you've done for me. You started out as my attorney, and now you'll always be my friend...

Ellen walked into a tough case with my Ex and me. My Ex had limitless funds because of her Father and tried to take me to the cleaners. I was not married to this woman and she did not want me seeing my child but for standard visitation. In court she mopped the floor with her attorney and made my Ex look incompetent. The Judge awarded me week on week off visitation. She is super tough and does not take guff from anyone, which I come to find out is amazing in a lawyer. Heck, my mother even liked her. Good thing she was on my side in this one. I will, and have, recommend her to anyone in my situation.
I am a father who was divorced for a year when my ex-wife took me back to court for the executive right to designate primary residence. After getting served I knew I needed help, so I looked online and found Ellen Schutz. Ellen's reviews made me feel confident that she could help me out, and every positive review I read turned out to be 100% true. Ellen was always available to me and if she was in court serving another client she would reply to missed calls or emails within a few hours. Ellen set realistic expectations and was extremely firm with my ex-wife’s attorney, so much so they decided to cave to our offer. I still maintain the right to designate my son's primary residence and that is priceless! Ellen is a great attorney and extremely fair with her fees. I would recommend Ellen Schutz to anyone in my family or to close friends. I know where to turn if I ever need a family law practitioner. I am writing this review because Ellen has exceeded my expectations. Do not hesitate to give her a call if you are facing a legal battle, believe me you want her on your side. - RA
In situations where deceit twist your thoughts and you can not rely on people you once trusted; it is nice to have someone who is without doubt on your side and acting only in your interest. Ellen has courage and doesn't allow a client to be run over.
Ellen Schutz, is a very caring and observing individual.
She gave us sound advise and counsel in a place in our lives
where we did not know the rules and proper protocol.
Ellen was very professional and would highly recommend her
based on our experience.

Ellen was there for me when I needed her most. She took my fear of the future and reassured me that all would work out for the best...and she was right. She took charge when I couldn't, was an incredible advocate, and was always available when I needed to update her on specifics. She is the voice of reason (listen to her!), more than fair in her charges, and will expedite your case with results. She treats you as if you were her only client so you can sleep at night.I would recommend her to anyone needing an expectional family law attorney. You will be glad she's on your side!
An attorney myself, my case involved custody issues, property issues and even issues of spousal abuse. Being very involved in the Dallas Bar Association, I knew all of the high profile attoneys, and my ex hired one of them. Ellen wiped the floor with my ex's attorney when we went to court, she was sensitive to my concerns, always available to me by phone or email and I trusted her to know what issues were emergencies and what could wait. My ex was using his family's money to finance his case, but I did not have that luxury. She was sensitive to fees and brought my expectations down to reality when I was ready to throw my last dime at the case for revenge. I don't practice family law, but she has a knowledge of it and a knack for it and is doing exactly what she should be. If you hire her, listen to her, and let her do her job, you just can't go wrong--no matter who is on the other side.
I would not use her even is she were the LAST lawyer on earth...
This individual called me this morning and told me that she had already initiated a child support case with the attorney general's office. She was not interested in retaining an attorney. She wanted someone to walk her through the Attorney General's collection process. I told her that I could not give her free personal legal advise because I could be held liable for malpractice. She could have requested that the Attorney General's office explain their procedure to her. She was upset that I would not counsel her and hung up. She was never treated rudely by me or anyone else in this office.
My family and I jokingly refer to this woman as a Bulldog. As the previous review stated, she is highly agressive when it comes to getting what you deserve, while still being mindful of your personal situation when it comes to financial matters. Our case had pretty much come to a standstill when Ellen took me on and she had it wrapped up in a matter of months! She refused to let me settle for less than I was due, refused to slow down, refused to back off and still maintained MORE than fair and lenient billing practices. The best of both worlds! I can't say enough good things about her - she is DEFINITELY the one you want at your table!
Much appreciated, Ellen!!
This is a very agressive attorney when it comes to getting the job done. She knows what she is doing and takes you down the shortest, most direct route while being considerate of your pocketbook. I highly recommend Ellen for child custody battles. Ours only took 5 weeks!!!! Great job and many thanks!!!
