We used this company to install new windows on our two story home. The team that installed the windows was excellent. They took their time and cleaned up each day. We barely felt like we were having construction work done. We highly recommend this company for new windows in your home.

May 2015. We contracted with J&M Glass Company (Thermal Windows) for replacing five casement windows (type 4507 and 4500) and a large sliding glass door (Type 99012). There were three major issues that we encountered with J&M that others should be aware of before deciding to use this company. 1) The LowE/Clear Guardian 55/27-argon –clear glass used is highly reflective at night (no matter how we changed our lighting) and you cannot see out of the glass. Best way to describe is that you are looking at a blue/green two-way mirror. The contract I signed said “clear” and I didn’t ask for a sample ahead of time so don’t assume “clear” means clear. Lastly, one the glass one piece in the windows did not match the others. 2) The install was not completed in a professional manner and had to be re-installed. During the first installation they left the old window hardware which should have been removed. The door also had to be re-installed as it was not properly installed flush with the house. After the second installation the windows were not tested by the installers and the opening mechanism did not properly function. Also, there was no caulking around the windows as done in the initial installation. I gave up and told them not to come back to fix the hardware and replace the mismatched window. I wrote a check for $6,140.63 as the sales representative Ricky Rhodes and the president Martin Gates threated legal action if I did not pay. 3) J&M is only concerned about making a dollar and not making their customers happy. I talked repeatedly via phone and email Mr. Gates, where the conversations went from attempting to fix the situation to threatening legal action against me if I didn’t pay. I asked Martin on several occasions to inspect the work his company did but he refused. The company was not concerned about the quality of work or happiness of their customers. I have had other companies in the Dallas area out to have these windows and door replaced and all were shocked by the lack of quality on the install and the reflective glass used on a residential property. I since have contracted with another company who brought out samples, referred me to a previous job site to inspect the quality of work and product before moving forward. Due your research on this company and there a much better companies in the area that offer affordable pricing and better quality.

My parents stayed at the house during the installation and made several comments on how wonderful everything looked, how the workers were considerate and polite, they did not make a mess, they did not tramp on the flowers or landscaping, they kept their areas neat, they cleaned everything up both days, nothing was left lying around.
