We (husband and myself) had dinner in a North Dallas Italian Kitchen and then went to meet a small group of friends for drinks at the Iron Cactus tonight (8-21-2010) and OH BOY we WON'T BE GOING BACK. Service was terrible, drinks were decent but not that great and did I mention service being terrible? Our server was snotty and we had the wrong drinks served to us twice. Husband and myself did not eat but several of our friends did and said the food was not worth the price. We would NOT go back here.

The Sunday brunch from 10am-3pm is a perfect way to spend a sunny Sunday. We sat on the patio and had the best view. Our server kept our $5.00 bottomless mimosas coming. My favorite food items were the biscuits and spicy gravy, omlets, crispy bacon, prime rib, and waffles. Everything was freash and tasted great. It was $13.95 for adults and $7.95 for kids. It was worth it.

I do not ever write reviews but I had the best birthday at the Iron Cactus. First of all, thank you for not singing. Nothing is more embarassing than ten people you do not know trying to remember your name while singing happy birthday. They even brought a free birthday mousse. The service was good, Mexican Martinis delicious, the patio amazing. Highly reccomend the lobster tacos and fajitas. All around perfect place to celebrate with friends without spending an arm and a leg.

OH MY GOSH! Our rehearsal dinner was WONDERFUL-- Everything was just perfect and I can't think of anything I could tell you that could have been changed for the better...Everything was just how we wanted it, from the pictures being displayed to the passed hor' dourves to the main course to the dessert...It was even quiet when Bob was giving the toast! Our waitress had the music turned down right at the perfect moment...everyone was able to hear him. That was a plus! The food was perfect...my fish was outstanding and all I heard all night was how wonderful and great the food tasted. (It was so much better than the reception food!) The service was exceptional and the wait staff went over and above what was expected. THEY did an amazing job of organizing the evening and making sure we had everything we needed! I have told friends about Iron Cactus and hopefully they will use your services for their dinners in the future. We love this restaurant and can't wait to come back and enjoy a relaxing dinner together.

I have been 3 times to this location, and each time the food has been amazing, the service was great, and it was just a nice relaxing atmosphere. I even took my family here for my dad's birthday, and we were treated like we were the only people there. I definitely will keep going back because of the food. I love great mexican food, and they definitely have it.

I recently came to Dallas for a few weeks on a company trip. On one of my first days in Dallas, I went over to the Iron Cactus to have something to eat, and I sat at the bar. While I was waiting on my food and having a drink, I was trying to figure out my way around downtown with this map I recieved from my hotel. The bartender took it upon herself to help me figure out which ares to go to, and which areas to stay away from. I didn't know where to begin looking, and immediately I was given a handful of stuff to do. Not only was their food great, but so was the friendliness of their staff. I will definitely be eating there a lot while I am here in Dallas.

The drinks are acceptable but the food is really bad and overpriced. I definitely don't recommend this place but if you want to try anyways do it on weekdays when the grown-ups are around downtown; on weekends the place gets crowded with teenagers screaming and trashing around.

My complaint about this restaurant could go on forever, but I'll keep it as brief as possible. Made reservations over a month in advance for a large bachelorette party here for dinner & drinks - hostess tried to seat us on the patio, despite the fact that it was RAINING. She claimed we would have to wait an hour for seats inside, so we tried to manage outside, until it started pouring and we were soaked. We ended up waiting for an hour while dripping wet, were finally seated. Because of the change of location, our orders were wrong and many people's dinners were cold. Management never approached us to apologize or compensate us in anyway. I finally asked to speak to the manager, who simply said ""sorry"" and walked away. I am very sad that I contributed so much money to this establishment. I wrote a complaint to corporate offices in Austin and received no word back. Do not take a large group here, ever!
