In the past, we hired many different companies and we have experienced the worst of the worse. But with Great American we experienced something new and wonderful. To begin with, the movers were ON TIME, responsive, reliable and stuck by the price. Most of my furniture was loaded into the truck without any kind of damages prior to departing; in addition to that, they wrapped everything for us very professionally. Everything arrived to my new house in Dallas. Once they unloaded everything, I was more than impressed with the way they placed everything in my new home, they did the most professional work moving me that I’ve ever seen.

I have dealt with many moving companies in the past, some many worse than others. I just recently did a local move with Great American Moving & Storage in Texas, I can say that is the best company I could ever hire and had an amazing experience with this company. As with life in general, and with most moves, problems or complications arise...and of course with this move in particular. However, this is where Great American’s shine above the rest. Despite the complications, everything was resolved professionally and all promises were kept.



On a side note, the "extra charges" that people are complaining about is not the fault of the company. The cost of business is expensive and they bill by the cubic foot...basically how much space you take up in their van. The problem is that the customers "add" items that are not on the original estimate, take up more cubic feet, and therefore drive up the cost of doing business. These guys didn't come cheap. They are NOT budget movers....but you will really see the difference in the customer service and personal attention. There is no trickery here....just be VERY specific on what's going and what's staying.

Great American surprised me with their reputation.



Once I checked the rating of their company I decided to book my move. I was impressed. They arrived on time (actually arrived at my home an hour early Caught me off guard) they loaded the truck promptly and headed out.



When they arrived at my new home in Dallas they were very thorough with the final papers and to my surprise there were no added fees. (I know they say guaranteed not to exceed ...) But they actually didn't charge me any more money. After the move I had I am so glad that I looked into other reviews and went with this company..



I am glad I chose Great American. I would say I had a good experience with my first long distance move.

I can't say enough good things about Great American Moving & Storage. I had a pretty complicated move since I had to go to 3 different locations for our move. The crew was on time and friendly, service was fast, courteous, and careful. They finished a 5 hour job in 3 1/2 hrs! And the price was extremely reasonable and affordable. The best thing about the service was that they called before, during, and after the move to make sure I was satisfied and had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. I'd give them 10 stars, but the only option is 5.

I have moved around a lot in my life, hence I own a little truck and used to take care of this by myself. After all these years, I'm a bit too old and tired to do this on my own and had to seek a moving company to aid me in shipping my items to Dallas, I admit I was nervous and had a pretty hard time choosing movers, not knowing how this works and seeing the infamous "moving horror stories" online... I spoke to Barry from Great American, and he seemed the most professional and knowledgeable from all companies I spoke to, so I decided to go with his company. I was very pleased with the outcome, the movers packed everything meticulously, and since I requested the "full packing service" I had to do absolutely nothing as they wrapped up the home around me. They worked like machines! Before I could tell, it was done. I was amazed! And to think so many years I had done it by myself. The delivery was flawless, they put everything in place in our new home, pity there isn't a "full unpacking service"... Ha ha ha..

I hired Great American Moving & Storage to move my stuff from Washington to Texas. They showed up at my door and started packing and loading everything faster than a hurricane, next hour and half I was watching the truck leaving to my new home. I was told that delivery will be performed within 7 business days; apparently this was not true, I went to Texas and the moving company called me at the 3rd day after delivery to let me know that the truck was on the road, I was impressed by such quick and fast response, service and attention.



Once they arrive to my new home they started unloading and unpacking everything for me, I realize that all my furniture was delivered in perfect condition and I certainly tipped the movers and gave them pizza once the job was done.



I really appreciated the service, Great American know how to move a customer satisfactorily.

This was my first move using Great American Moving & Storage and by far, I was really, really happy with their service. I was really concerned at start because the movers were in a hurry. They were moving really quickly and packed my things like they were on fire! I was worried about the shape and the condition of my things when I unpack them.



Surprisingly, not a single one of them was dented, damaged or cracked. I like everything about their service. The customer service when I called them was very professional and nice. She answered my questions and was quite helpful, especially since this would be my first time hiring a moving service.



The movers were also good. Even though they were in a hurry, they tried their best to avoid making loud noises. I live in an apartment and it was 8 in the morning when they arrived.



Usually, many of my neighbors were still asleep during that time and I never heard them complaint.



This is really good service.



I think you guys should try it as well.

We decided to hire them for our move to Texas. The guys were vigilant, diligent and respectful to our possessions on the both part. Great American members brought sufficient boxes to move every item of household. Boxes were well fitted with our respective stuffs. We were delivered the belongings intact only for the secured boxes. Their delivery guys assisted us to get those in by lifting up from the roof. It was a great help for us. I thank them for their tremendous help and service.

Great American were hands down the best movers I have ever used. From my initial phone call with Jason to my final destination with a great team Of movers (Arthur and Hugo) forward were nothing but helpful, professional and friendly. I had booked my move for the afternoon between 1-3pm. I called the day before to see if it was possible to start earlier. They were very accommodating; the movers were able to start My move at 10 am. The rates were competitive with other movers but a lot cheaper than my last mover, who really sucked.



I would highly recommend forward Great American! But these guys really made it easy for me. Do yourself a favor, book with these guys.

I decided to move within Texas for a new job, I did not know who to contact for this job since was my first time doing this. I researched over and over again until I found a company that has been in his business for many years and they know how to do their job. Incredibly but certain, I booked them 4 days before packing my apartment, they confirmed moving date 48 hours prior to the 4th day, they went to my apartment and packed everything correctly and damages free. I suggest you to look for Great American Moving & Storage if yous are moving in Texas, I highly recommend them.

I needed help moving a 1 bedroom in Houston to a house in Dallas and took a chance on Great American moving & Storage. 2 guys showed up with a truck and started moving our belongings. We had a 2 piece couch, my work utensils that were in a wardrobe box and a huge glass and wood credenza that weighed a ton but they were able to move it carefully.



At the end, they gave me a fair price and I tipped them well since they were friendly and upbeat the whole time even though it was their last move of the day.

Contacting and hiring Great American Moving was probably one of the smartest decisions my boyfriend and I have made in a very long time. Kent came to our apt and went over our stuff. He gave us a great estimate and was very open and honest about how everything works. On the day of the move, the guys were helpful, polite, and incredibly good at their job. You could tell it was not their first time. We moved from Texas to Washington. Never a complaint, even with six boxes strapped to their backs. And, they completed the move in 5 days. In addition they assembled everything in my house in Texas & Nothing was broken.



You better contact Great American no matter what, even if they are more than someone else.Totally worth it.
