Went to Gizmos for my 2nd tattoo( the last one was 12 years ago!) I got tattooed by Sean and he did a really good job, Im so happy something as simple as a quote could turn out so pretty! I was so nervous but he talked me through it in a really nice way and made me very comfortable

I would recommend Rob Smith at Gizmo's to anybody. I moved to Dallas a year ago and have been searching around for a new artist for some time. I'm very picky about my ink and who does it. I looked around at several shops and decided to walk in one day. Rob happily greeted me. I told him my ideas and what I wanted and where. He is a very personable person and he was thrilled to work on it. He drew a completely custom tattoo up for me and knocked it out with precision in under a week. I couldn't be more happy with it. He is very passionate about his work and you can sense a genuine love for your tattoo from him. He put his time into it like it was going on his own body. I will continue to go back and see from now on for my future ink.

ROBERT WAS PHENOMENAL! All the guys in the shop were great and made it a very comfortable enovironment, but Robert did an incredible job on my tattoo! Very light handed, worked quickly but precisely! He is my new and only tattoo guy for sure!!!! GO SEE ROBERT!!! You won't regret it! =)

Must go see Robert at gizmo's tattoo!!! Took my boyfriend to get a cover up on tattoo that was poorly done and Robert was able to cover up that horrible mess. I love the fact that he very professional and his knowledge showed alot in his work. Cant' wait to til it's my turn to get tatted by him.

I went here for my first tattoo in 12 years. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I brought in a drawing I found and John helped me make some changes to make a better picture. I felt I had known him for years. He was very professional, talked me through it and it was over in no time. I have had nothing but compliments. The color and outlines are outstanding. I will definitely go back and recommend him to all my friends.

I got a tattoo on my rib cage today with Robert at Gizmo's in Dallas. He COMPLETELY lives up to all his great reviews. He took his time through the whole process, even re-doing the stencil once when the script was not lined up perfectly. His attention to detail was amazing. Before Rob started the tattoo, he mentioned that this area was one of the most painful to get tattooed. I was so scared about the pain being unbearable, but Rob was so gentle and light handed that it was over before I knew it! My new tattoo is perfect... I am so happy with it. I can't wait to go back and have him cover up another tattoo I have. Go see Rob and he'll take great care of you!

I was on vacation in Dallas and my husband and I. We wanted a tatoo before we went back home to the Virgin Islands. My husband googled best tattoo shops in dallas. Of course Gizmo's came up. Robert's work on the web site was very detailed, so we paid Robert a visit. Robert did our tattoos in April, very detailed and he has a light hand. Since then I have gotten 3 more tattoos from Robert and my husband has gotten 2(he is planning to have Robert make him a half sleeve). We even invited him to come to the Virgin Islands to relax and do some tattooing. Robert left here last week and made some very satisfied customers, who are awaiting his return to the islands. I have been tattooed by many artist in different states, and Robert of Gizmo's tattoos is by far the best and the most talented artist I have come encounter with!!!! Keep up the good work!!!! My family and friend hope to see you soon!!!

I will never go to another tattoo shop or artist except gizmos and Lil Jon. I found Gizmos on the internet and after reading hundreds of excellent reviews I decided to go there. Lil Jon is the artist I chose after seeing his online and in shop portfolio. He is a wonderful artist and very talented. I didnt even have a picture of what I wanted, we just discussed my ideas and he designed a tattoo JUST for me. It is perfect and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I encourage anyone who wants a tattoo to go to Gizmos and talk to Lil Jon or any of the other guys there. Its hard to find someone willing to try so hard to make customers happy but you will find someone there, unless you are one of those people that no matter what someone does to please you, you are never happy..

Will NEVER go back; Lil John did a horrible job

Lil John did my tattoo....First mistake! It's a huge piece covering a large part of my ribcage. I brought several pictures and explained to him what I wanted and it looks HORRIBLE. To top it off; the price he quoted me ended up being nearly triple the amount at the end. I now have to spend even more money to find a PROFESSIONAL and TALENTED tattoo artist to fix this horrible tattoo. DO NOT LET HIM TATTOO YOU!!!!!

I just got my first tattoo from Here and I loved it. I was so scared that it would hurt but Robert said don't worry he had gental hands and wow I was so surprised he was right! I had a Persian writing tattoo I brought and he murdered it out. I absolutely loved it he is awesome go to Robert :)

For some reason, I cannot get my reviews to go on - maybe I sound like a scary stalker since I love them so much? Ah well, take 5 thousand... Gizmo's is by far the best tattoo shop I have ever entered. Everyone is friendly, helpful, & more than willing to go over any lil thing ya may worry about or have concerns over - have no fears! They will take care of ya & give ya the best price in all of DFW! My husband & I have Robert do all of our work - he's currently doing a full flower sleeve on me & a whacko skull half sleeve of my husband. They aren't even done yet & people still flip out - he's that good!!! Robert is flat out 1 of the funniest people I have ever met, but not only that - his tattoos will FLOOR you. From the details & colors, to the insanely light tattoo needle...he is perfect. As a matter of fact, if he ever becomes single, I fully plan on leaving my hubby & stalking him down! Don't tell! hahaha! Lil John works right next to Robert & does some amazing work too. I saw him tattoo a group of people w/some of the tiniest tattoo work...each tattoo came out perfect. You just cannot go wrong @ Gizmo's tattoos no matter who ya choose - they are the best & I am definitely a Gizmos girl for life!!!

This was my first tattoo at Gizmo's and it was by far the best experience I have ever had. I have had three other tattoos at different places and none of them came close to comparing to Gizmo's. Everyone was so friendly from the minute we walked through the door, which put me at ease and I felt comfortable right away. \r I took in a picture of a butterfly I wanted along with a scripture but had no idea how I wanted it layed out or how many butterflies or any other detail I might want in there. Cody was more than happy to help me come up with something I would like. He took my couple of little things and made it into an absolutely amazing drawing. He came up with something totally different than what I had in mind and it is by far one of the most beautiful tattoos I have ever seen. I've only had it a couple of days but have gotten the same reaction from everyone that sees it...their mouths fall open because the art work is just so amazing. \r I have heard people say they have certain tattoo artists and will not let anyone else touch them. I couldn't understand that before because I have been to 3 different artists and none of them were as nice, helpful or as artistic as Cody. I understand it now and I will never have a tattoo done by anyone else again!!!\r Thank you Cody, you are amazing!!

since i've been going through a quarter life crisis, i decided it was time to get my first tattoo... after reading all of the reviews on city search, i decided to head on over to gizmo's and do some research with my friend. immediately upon meeting michael c, he made us feel at ease. we talked through what each of us wanted and set up an appointment. i was extremely nervous the day of the appointment since it was my first tattoo, but again, michael c made us laugh and feel comfortable throughout the entire process... and my tattoo looks amazing (the most important part!).\r \r i highly recommend michael c. & gizmo's!

Robert is an amazing tattoo artist. I brought him a tribal design, it was good, Robert made it better!!! I got the tattoo on my upper forearm and Robert spent 40 minutes easily making sure it was in exactly the right place. It looks awesome!!! I have seen literally thousands of tattoos and mine ranks up there with the best I have ever seen. The reviews are true, Gizmos is a great place to get a tattoo, its clean, professional, and the the tattoo artists truly are Artists.

I would like to say that Gizmos is the absolute best place in dallas to get a tattoo. I have been in lots of shops and have not met a more friendly group of artist that are willing to make sure you get EXACTLY the tattoo you want. Lil Jon happens to be my artist and all my tattoos are exactly what I wanted and I am not easy to please. I spend a lot of time in the shop and I have never seen him or any other artist be rude or uncooperative with a customer. If you do the reading you can clearly see that out of 116 reviews dating back to 2006 there are only 4 unhappy customers.... Its just proof that no matter how good you are, even when your the best, there is always someone that cant be pleased. When in all reality the problem wasnt with the artist it was with the unpleasable person who will lie to turn the blame away from them..

I have been to Gizmo's multiple times and the first couple of experiences were great. Mike did a tattoo on my foot that is my favorite ever, so detailed and exactly what I wanted! I have been so happy with that particular tattoo. But this last time was the most disappointing experience. The shop has definately gone down hill in regards to cleanliness. There were actually dead bugs on the floor and stuff was covered in dust, and if anyone knows what dust is that is just nasty. As far as the tattoo goes it was for sure also a disappointment. I brought in a detailed picture and showed the artist, Little John, exactly what I wanted. He decided that he would like a little tweak done to the picture. I said ok and decided that it would be alright. The picture had a bunch of shading and was very detailed. When we were done it looked like a simple line drawing. There was just a little shading and not done like the picture at all. And now a month out there are pieces of even the lines missing! It is a sub-par tattoo. I was also charged $100 for 20 minutes of work and now I will have to go somewhere else to get it re-done. When I addressed it with the ""artist"" he got very defensive so I just let it go. I am almost embarrassed to show this tattoo to anyone. Next time I will go somewhere else. I used to love Gizmo's....
