04.11.12 I'm a patient of Dr. Nick Nicholson (a $12,200 cash paying patient). I called about a week and a half before my scheduled surgery to schedule the requisite blood tests, etc. I called one day (04.10.12) 3 times and got voice mail of the scheduler, Angie. I left 2 voice mails. By the second day (04.11.12) 3pm, I still had not heard back, so I called again. The operator, Sarah, was very curt and said that Angie is just busy and works by voice mail only. So, I was transferred back to her. In the process of transferring me, Sarah "accidentally" disconnected me and I had to call back. When Angie DID pick up the phone, she put me on hold. When I told her why I was calling, she hurried and set up my appointment - no apology for not having called back, just rushing to schedule me. When I said, "I'm not trying to be rude, but in all seriousness, I'm a little bit concerned. If it's this hectic for the scheduler, how are they going to be with the patients?" She huffed and said, "I'm just one person." I said, "I realize that, and it's not your fault if they don't hire you help. I'm just concerned with the treatment I will receive." She seemed angered by my comment. I said, "Well, okay, thanks then." She kind of mumbles, "mmm" and hangs up. According to their website they're supposed to be this center for excellency, blah blah blah.... Not my experience. At all. I've noticed other reviews online posted by other patients with similar complaints about the staff at this facility. So, it's not just me. I'm writing the complaint just so future patients will know what they're getting into. Here's one link to others' complaints online:
