Took my wife to Del Frisco's for a nice, classy night out on the town. Wanted to treat her right, let her dress up and shine on her night out. The dress code at Del Frisco's is ""business casual"" and that's fine with us. I wore nice slacks, and a button down shirt. My wife wore a really beautiful dress. Boy were we overdressed. The dress code at Del Frisco's is really, ""whoever has money."" We sat next to a guy in shorts. A few tables away, there was a guy in jeans and a t-shirt. When I asked about it, I was told, ""we dress business casual"" at Del Frisco's. Really? Shorts? T-shirts? Business casual? It was very disheartening trying to have a nice ""classy"" dinner out on the town while eating next to Jimmy Buffet.
The food was decent, but for $170 for two of us, we were not wowed by any means. The waiters really try and sell you on their food. It's kind of like a car lot at Del Frisco's.
Needless to say, the whole classy atmosphere business dress code thing really spoiled it for us. It's kind of ironic, as we were leaving, there was a guy entering the restaurant with an AC/DC t-shirt on and jeans. As he entered the restaurant, I noticed the sign by the front door, ""Proper attire required.""
It was our first time to visit Del Frisco's. It was also our last.
